Unfair to blame the judge, mate. He was given an indeterminate sentence, but ordered to be detained until he was " no longer a threat to the public". The decision to release him was made solely by a panel of the parole board, who seem to have decided that the stipulation has been met.............and turned a blind eye to the fact that serving 9 years for the sexual assault of at least a dozen women might be seen by some as 'unduly lenient'. An indeterminate sentence would have allowed for him to be held beyond was is usual for that offence..........which is, I guess, why the j

Everything's OK, guys ! Jeremy Hunt (or something that sounds like it) says there is no crisis, and that his department has put a "contingency plan" in place to cope with winter pressures on the NHS.......... It's obviously a contingency plan that involves rationing treatments, cancelling operations and running an understaffed and underfunded service, for yet another year !

We all want them.........but nobody wants to pay for them ! Successive governments pride themselves on taking more and more people out of income tax, and we're increasingly indoctrinated that public spending must be cut -"balance the books", "live within our means" etc etc..........so where does the money come from ?

The idea of "the NHS", as most of us think of it, is gone, and the long term future is bleak, for 'free' healthcare, I feel. We have individual entities - foundation trusts - operating on an independent basis. Around 1/3 of treatment services are now provided by private companies, who have also monopolised catering, cleaning and security. A lot of trusts are financially crippled by private finance initiatives, something else to blame Blair for, and find themselves on the brink of bankruptcy...........how can a publicly-funded hospital be millions of pounds in debt ???? I wear Dunlop's and an extra pair of insulated socks........my mate wears flashy, neoprene lined things with buckle straps on etc. Mine cost 11 quid, his well over 100 - and his feet are no drier or warmer than mine ! A Welly has one job........why overcomplicate things ?

Yeah, definitely ! I'd look to invest in an adjustable peg portfolio, with a small bust-out back up, or a straight compound choke price format, returning around 12%. This would, in effect, amount to a backstop purchase on a bid spread of downswing purchases..................... Easy, really.

Well.......I'm much better now ! Also, on the plus side, I seem to have given it to the good lady, who's been laid up in bed for 2 days.............had my feet up all day, watching films and drinking tea - in peace !

I've had it for a week or so. Got it from my grandkids, I think. Ive been out in the bitter cold with dog every day, went to a cold and damp Boxing Day Hunt and been beating today on fields that resembled the Somme ! Ya bunch of girls !
