A local ice cream man was found dead in his van, earlier today. His body was covered in strawberry sauce and crushed nuts, and he had a Flake in each ear. .........police believe he topped himself.

She just has them when needed now, but she had a spell of taking them for 5 or 6 months solid. She never really got used to the side effects........and she was usually in a monumentally foul mood ! In fairness, all her medication has been pretty heavyweight stuff, but for everything she's ever taken, the side effects usually outweigh any slim benefits !

A year or so ago, I busted my back really badly - could nearly walk, couldn't sleep, unbearable at times. One night, I pinched a couple of the good lady's Trammies - never again ! Horrible nightmares/hallucinations and the most dreadful hangover the next morning. How anyone takes them regular is beyond me. Bloody things are deadly !

Tramadol gives her terrible nightmares, morphine runs the very real risk of addiction, while amitriptyline is fine if she wants to spend most of her life asleep ! None of them strike me as an effective, long-term management of a chronic medical condition........... They got a bit more inventive a couple of years ago - the good lady went to hospital every 6 weeks, to receive a large infusion of Lignocaine. It was abandoned after a few months on grounds of cost !

My wife spoke to her GP about CBD for pain relief (she has fibromyalgia). He slagged it off terribly - untested, unknown side effects, possibly illegalities etc etc. She was going to give it a try - nothing to lose and all that - but he put her right off the idea. But he happily prescribes amitriptyline, tramadol and morphine to her...........it's a barmy world, all right !

We have 6 dogs in the house, with no odour problems. Maybe it's an issue for you at this time of year, with all the doors and windows closed ? The good lady has 2 of those auto spray air fresheners, placed up high, at opposite ends of the lounge. I have to say odour has never been a problem........and ,if there's a nasty smell, I just blame the dogs anyway !

If you take the trouble to read the Guardian article, he does not -at any point- say it's a good idea, and we should go ahead with it, that it would benefit Britain and so on.. He suggests that the technology is available, bridge building has made great advancements etc etc.....he just says that such a project would be possible,IN THEORY........a typical politicians answer that doesn't involve the words "yes"or "no" ! Slow news day, maybe ?
