  1. I got a Bonnie Tyler sat nav for Xmas. It keeps telling me to turn around, and every now and then it falls apart.............. (I almost feel like I should apologise for that !)
  2. Dandelion and burdock was top dog.........til that Coke nonsense came along ! We used to make liquorice water............bit of root left in a bottle of water overnight. Top refreshment for the Sunday football match on the park - small boys, jumpers for goalposts, marvellous !
  3. A fool and his money are easily parted...........
  4. I've used them for a few years now - covers ALL fieldworkers in one policy. I'd recommend them !
  5. I don't believe so. But it's a cracking little bit of kit, provided you respect it's limitations !
  6. My ex-brother in law swears it happens to him, too !
  7. My Ratcatcher is zeroed to 15 yards (the length of my garden but that's pure coincidence ! ). I put AA Diablo Hunter through it for short range squirrels, rats and the occasional rabbit.........and it delivers sufficient wallop to do the job in one hit ! It was made to do a specific job, so that's what I use it for..................
  8. If you believe everything you read, the end is ALWAYS nigh ! Ebola, flu epidemic, Brexit, global warming, North Korean nukes, plastic waste, fracking, microbeads, asteroids, diesel engines...........if you say it often enough, you'll be right - eventually !
  9. Whatever happened to Swine flu..........? Or good, old-fashioned Ebola ? Proper illnesses ! When I was a lad, I had Scarlet fever - can't remember the last time I even heard of it.........
  10. I was thinking this might be due to 'global warming'..........then I remembered that it's winter, so it must be down to 'climate change'...........
  11. Maybe I'm thinking of The Walking Dead ? The name rang a bell.............
  12. Did he do the True Blood theme, too ?
  13. There's a funny side to my spelling mistake. The chap in question was truly huge - 6' 8" tall and easily 20 stone.......massive fella. Terrified of cats !
  14. The two doormen I know have been attacked with bricks, bottles and knives on a pretty regular basis, and by groups of 'men' even more regularly. They've had cars driven at them, and one has been shot at twice......... A doorman can find himself at the 5hit end of the stick in a heartbeat, so I don't blame them when they want to end proceedings fairly abruptly !
  15. Just because a man moisturises and appreciates the finer points of musical theatre.............far be it from me to question his lifestyle choices.........but you seem like a nice boy !
  16. That's my brand of science !
  17. Bears game ???? You said you were going to the matinee performance of Mamma Mia ! You wrote it on your David Beckham calendar, remember ?
  18. Bit of advice please. We live in a bungalow and the living room is about 11 X 16ft, with an 8ft ceiling. A log burner would obviously keep the whole place warm, but what kilowatts would I need to let it burn hot, but still be bearable ?
  19. Bulwell ! That was a 5hithole when I was a lad........and it still is ! Me and the good lady lived there for a bit before we got married........then we moved to St.Anns - if they like you, they let you live !
  20. Both my nephew's dad's are/were doormen in Nottingham. Both very big lads, more than capable of looking after themselves, but the abuse they're expected to put up with is unbelievable.........and when you're a big lad, every pi55ed up, 10 stone tw4t fancies their chances, for some reason ! If you poke a dog often enough, don't be surprised when you get bit !
  21. Watched the film and thought "That's what you get for picking a fight with the biggest f***er on the street !" I was turned away a few times, in my younger years. I stepped back, looked at the huge fella standing in my way, and said "Yeah, fair enough." Discretion is the better part of valour !
  22. It doesn't take a big man to stab you !
  23. Wouldn't have thought so mate.............I have no knowledge on this, but I'm fairly sure it's kept confidential, to prevent coersion, blackmail etc - if that's not the case generally, it certainly would be in this case ! And, let's face it, who would want to own up to releasing this f***ing animal ??? Probably all manner of probation officers, social workers, psychologists, psychoanalysts and other woolly minded liberals !
  24. You've seen nowt, Si..............this is tame bickering !
