    The Talk

He'll probably know a lot more than he's letting on, if he's making comments and stuff. They know when they know, I don't think there is a right time for a parent to lay it all out for them in black and white, my approach so far is to be honest and wait for them to come to me and ask. I think back to when I was that age and I learned from other kids. Once they hit secondary school age it filters down from the older kids.

    Italian Job

Dago's Slang for Italian, originally coming from Spain. "Diego" was a common name in Italy at the time this slang was first used. See: Wop. :Apparently 'Dago' is slang for Eye Ties or Spicks, you're both correct, kind of!

  7. I lived with my grandparents for large parts of my childhood, there's probably a lot in what you say there. There was evidences of my grandads fixes everywhere you looked, one that sticks in my mind is one of my nans saucepan lids with a replacement handle fashioned out of a portion cut off the end of a bright yellow gardening trowel handle! He could fix anything my grandad, his fixes might not always have been aesthetically pleasing but they worked!
  8. Modern laundry powders have blue dye added to them to make the whites look whiter, I remember being told it in science when we were doing theverything colour spectrum. It's the reason your white stuff glows bright blue when you're in a night club with UV lighting.

  10. It's not 'man made' it originated naturally in South America. The mammals there over centuries gained an immunity to it, it was accidentally released from a lab in France this side of the Atlantic, I seem to recall..

  12. Ray that has all been proven to be nonsense ... that was the thinking back in the ,s and onwards etc but three separate scientific facilities have carried out studies using hundreds of people and proved there is no harm from animal based saturated fats .......Spot on.. The original advice was flawed, everyone cut out fat and the population ballooned in weight.. Sugar and other carbs. Think back to the times when everyone ate all their fat, butter and dairy and people were as thin as bloody rakes! To be fair they wasn't spending so much in front a tv/computer screen then either....... Agree wit

    Weed ;)

Hybrids from hell are pretty crap to be honest mate, wouldnt reccommend them at all, esben operates an open pollination pollicy and i believe he outsources his seed making now,not like when he originally started out back in the Overgrow.com days,go canadian if your after decent UK results. The Canadian genetics are hard enough for cold, but it's the wet that's the problem, and the mildew and bud rot that comes with it that's the main issue for UK latts, especially up north, but hey what do I know it's illegal over here!!!our latitude is pretty much the same here as it is in Canada, we get pretty

    A Welsh Let Off

Mal they are not friendlies, there are ranking points on offer for every game. Remember the debacle at the last word cup where Australia, England and Wales were drawn in the same group, well unless Wales up their rating the same will happen again, because the rankings for the draw are taken two years previous to the world cup and if Wales are not in the top 8 they will be classed as a second tier team again. TC Well if they're that important the IRB needs to step in and make sure the clubs release their players for them then.. The players are coming into the squad in dribs and drabs, it's s

    A Welsh Let Off

The autumn tests are a double edged sword IMO. I like them because I love international rugby and it's a big gap to wait between Six Nations tournaments, on the other hand they are friendlies and the players here are half way through seasons with their respective clubs and there are important games to be played. The fact that these games fall outside the designated international dates don't help with the club vs country arguments either..
  17. Yeah, you can really see the family resemblance at the minute fair play!
