  1. Nice gun mate you'll have a lot of fun with this rifle.
  2. Thanks for the advice guys, i'll certainly bear your ideas in mind. I've got a few months now to find some land before my ferret is old enough! I just hope my wife dosn't spoil him first!
  3. Been looking for a new tempest for a while now, i'm not sure they are made any more, so you may have to go for a second hand one. I've got a crosman king ratcatcher, as standard it produces around 9 ft/lbs, but with a rabbit stopper barrel and the right pellets, they produce around 11.
  4. Yes, i think it was named after Edward Fox from 'The Day of the Jackal', in which the jackal used a TDR.
  5. My Dad has one, and i've had regular use out of it. Cracking gun, never had any problems with it. I've had crows, pigeon, maggies, rabbits and one fat arsed rat with it! I find it accurate and not to heavy. The air lasts a while as well. What i would say to you though, is that it loses power when just under 3/4 empty. the shots are meant to be metered, so it shouldn't do this. My younger Brother has the single shot s200 and it does the same, so i would refill the air when it is just over 1/2 empty.
  6. Nice shot mate, very brave of your neighbour to let you shoot if off his nuts though! You wouldn't get anywhere near mine!
  7. I've read somewhere that you can use the flea shampoo thats meant for kittens. Getting your ferret into a bath is another thing......!
  8. Hi guy's, this is my first post on this site. I've just returned to ferreting after an absence of about 20 years. I last went ferreting with my dad, but he gave up when i was 10. I'm now 30, and have just bought myself a kit. Memorys of my time spent ferreting with my dad involved sneaking on to peoples land without permision and having to keep an eye out for landowners as well as rabbits! Of course, now i'm grown up i realise that I have to get permision to hunt rabbits, but this is where my problem lies, I don't know any landowners. Could one of you guys please give me some advice?
