you have to reach a certain velocity to have jacket seperation, so you were more than likely under this velocity with the 40g as for the 75, And you would also see seperation take place, in a cloud like puff, they may have been going fast enough to stabilise, to you know when a bullet has not stabilsed as it will yaw to the target leaving an odd shaped hole not not a circular one like a bullet should...... snap.

there are a few different versions of the exbal program, one is for palm systems only such as the blackberry, the other version is the pocket pc version which is for pocket pc's such as compaq, hp hand pilots... i bought a second hand pocket pc of the bay and got exbal installed by a friend, but you can buy the pocket pc on the bay with exbal already installed on sone of them, take a look around and see if this would suit you........ you beat me to it mate.... please do not shoot into the trees ever......... Accidents can and do happen...... enjoy yourself by all means, but caution is always recommended with any rifle. Snap. -
the faster twist will almost always stabilize a lighter bullet to the point of explosion due to centrifugal force, ripping the jacket off the bullet, also a faster twist or overstabilization of a lighter bullet will also show a drop in velocity, The quicker twist is needed to stabilize heavier bullets not due to the weight fact of the bullet but heavier bullets are always longer in length.... snap.

i'd go with the 129g sst form hormady, An excellent bullet in the 6.5 Snap.

it could be shooter error ie. pull the shot a little.... or it could be that the wind shifted the bullet if there was a breeze..... Wind will play havoc on a zeroing session.... Go over the normal, rings bases tight, etc... Are you shooting with ammo you know is accurate.........? snap. -
i was going to suggest a weak firing pin spring, but if they have been struck well by the firing pin then maybe it's the primer after all, snap.

Well having said i was taking a few days of work with today being the last i thought i'd take a walk in the reserve as my man flu is nearly gone......... well just about...... It's only a littte cyber shot but i hope to get used to all the settings it has, as its got lots........ Snap.

A cup head allen bolt tighten on the side of the base and locks into the dovetail groove on the action...... once you've got the base where you need it before you tighten it apply a little super glue to the inside of he head and tighten, this will keep the bolt from working loose on the base......... check out this pic for an underside view of the base...... http://www.sako.fi/optilockproducts.php?basesrings Snap.
