  1. heck thats not a gun, this is a gun
  2. you're never under-gunned, just under-capable very good comment mate..... but its down to what We can do personally, And because people buy stalking and the keepers see the kinda shots some people are they have no option but to up the calibre to make sure the shot is a deadly one if it doesn't hit the desired target area..... hence the 6.5, .270, and .308 preference snap.
  3. i don't even know why we pay for a tv licence............ silly season is finally here i think mate......
  4. i don't want my PsP to get broken so i'm not fighting.....
  5. Right folks this is where i say take a step back think about what you posted......... we're hear as a hunting community and look at us............. debate is fine in my eyes but this is now turning into a mud slinging match of which i want no futher part of.... We all have a right to reply as long as its respectful which most of this thread isn't... Snap.
  6. very nice plus a little sore across the base of the back i bet......... snap.
  7. agreed, if you can put across a valid point without a slagging match then its a constructive debate, Snap.
  8. the local drug takers would be removed......with out the police IF you had the backing of no one but yourself would they still be removed.....? And there is a time for the so called action you state, BUT only if the law does not act on it first........
  9. This is my perspective on things, If this is in the best interests of the animals, And also the constant barking would break anyone in the end, then the right thing has been done, And any dog lover would of done the same thing............... Now if the folk on here say they wouldn't grass then thats your opinion but i'll flip it over to this perspective... IF you had local drug takers, injecting the crap on your street you live in and leaving needles where your children play, and you seen this go on day in and day out, Would you not call the police for the sake of getting them lift
  10. Neck shooting is not a practise normally recommended by the BASC or BDS, yes. thats correct, but if you can place the bullet where it needs to go on the neck there is minimal damage to meat, and the animal is dead instantly, or within seconds Its knowing your limits...... choose the wrong bullet with any calibre and meat damage is going to be a problem, Snap.
  11. Welcome to THL slim snap.
  12. yes you have to apply to the dept. of justice to get an export licence for the ammo..... snap.
  13. tictac an sheepdip are hard to find now, where do you get them? ivormec is out of the windoww it almost killed my bitch, sorted now anyways but where can i get that tictac and sheep dip the farm shop near me sold it before but hasnt had it for ages???? you can get tactic in any agri store or most of them at least, 1 litre does 45 gallons of water, cost about 75 euros. snap.
  14. Snaps you strike me as a glass half-full sorta guy um.............. thank you, i think you need to think along those lines LG, its good for the soul to think positive, enjoy your low fat yogurt.....
  15. I had a look at at sako TRG in a gun shop a couple of Months ago..It was in .338 Lapua. Very nice rifle.............not for the field like....but nice for its intended purpose.. :tongue4: any ideas what the .338 lapua ammo costs over here, i looked on midway usa and it was around $130 for 20 i think , i wonder how cheap you could get it down reloading? brass seems to be the biggest expense, and the charge is roughly double to that of my .22-250 well 100 lapua brass in .338 costs around 270 stg.
  16. I was going to purchase one before the semi custom job matty, but my friend has one so i shoot it the odd time, very comfortable to shoot, very accurate, and very nice looking, an all round package for the left or right handed shooter....
  17. Welcome to THL mate, i hope you enjoy it..... Snap.
  18. i bet someones thinking of a new digital camera then is one............... LG the dishes and cleaning can do till tomorrow, get a take away solves the food crisis, bang on a toon for the sprog's And change the bovril to cuppa soup with crutons..... splash out............ have a good one no matter how busy you may be,
  19. i guess that5s down to different chambers and stuff deker It's down to slightly differing twist rates in the manufacturing process, and the fact that no two barrels are the same, harmonically, and also differing stresses on differing parts of the barrel's, So this is why even two rifles from the same company, same model, same twist, shoot differently at times, So each rifle will have varying effects,
  20. LG just because no-one is there to spoil you doesn't mean you can't spoil yourself........ get the bovril on and put your feet up oh happy mothers day anyway. Snap.
  21. As long as you bolt it down mate or to a wall i don't think there will be a problem, plus if you could keep it out of sight will be better again...
  22. f you (metaphorically) can't knock down anything you can find in this country at 200yards with a .243 then you should seriously consider another sport!!! Thats the best bit of info on this thread..... Now theres lots of variables flying about here, You don't state if its your first centre fire or not, so take it, it is, The .243 has plenty of bullet selection, very mild recoil, accurate, easy to sell on if you want to change.... larger calibers if you get granted them, are heavier on recoil which may lead to flinching the shot due to anticipation of the shot, i p
