    Yeah lol I didn't have time then to be out there every weekend topping up fluids and tightening everything that had rattled looseThat's why we bought a t4 that served me well for 8 years Just seems to be every type of car these days seem to have problems,only got to look on eBay or gumtree an see which cars are constantly advertised as spares n repairs . Difficult when you have had a motor that served you well for eight years not to get something with the same badge on mate ?

    lol Larry I get get hungrier looking back at the pics , just having a few drinks and gotter get back to cook lamb tandoori , langostine n rice , a sea bass and a couple of bream , and then me portugese BBQ mission is. complete for another yearIf your coming home , Portugal must be out of grub ..?

    They striped them cobs of every single bit of corn , there wasn't one piece left on any of them ..seemed they peeled the leaves back and striped them bare ...I found the cobs all over the garden ..as well as in the patch . I've tried to get a camera to find out how many are coming in , my pal who had his sweet corn wrecked last year ( twice as much as mine ) was surprised to find it was one animal ..anyway he won't get fcuk all tonight as I've picked the last 5 cobs ..

    Phil , I picked up about 90 inside and there was about the same outside under the window , is that average sort of size ? And to be fair I wasn't hanging about to see if they were friendly , ?

    Lost the rest of the sweet corn last night ??, there's about three cobs left ...I would hate to think how much damage they do to commercial growers , I recon one maybe two eat twenty five plus cobs ...was easily my best growing year for corn and my worst harvest ...electric fence next year ..

    Yep , the old miroku !! ..finished cutting the grass , had dinner and was sitting outside having a coffee when the mole started heaving ..in grabbed a gun , miroku just happened to be closest , grabbed a shell , back out , boots off across the grass like a bloody ninja , stood there and as it heaved BOOM ...a lot of the time you don't actually need to hit them , the shock does for them , pulled him out quick photo and back to still hot coffee ..he's only just moved in a couple of days ago so am well pleased I've evicted him so quick .

    No mate each one is an inch long Just fished this one out the bin ,flat its over an inch long , there were some bigger ones as well ..European hornet , had them checked to make sure they wasn't Asian hornets which are notifiable ...gave the nest another spray this morning , looks like there all dead ..

    After a night with a bedroom full of bloody great European hornets to put up with I came out to this I'm think one of our black and white friends ..must have lost a good third of what was out there , didn't want to pick it and store as it's never as good as straight of the plant and cook ..but another couple of nights will see it gone ..had a bit of it the other year and it did more damage trying to keep the poxy thing out than it did to the corn ..and just to make it up to three on the pest front the moles are back ..

    We have a big crow problem , I sometimes have to decoy in the pens (8 acres ) and it doesn't seem to bother them at all ..

    Got home late this evening to the wife telling me she zapped a couple of hornets in the bedroom , no problem I'll have a look round the Barn in the morning ..end up going to bed knackered only to hear another one ...big b*****d .. zapped him then I notice one come out a tiny crack high up in the eaves ..ladder, gipper and give it a blast in the hole ...FCUK ME ..the bedroom is full of them , I've vacated our room for the night after emptying the tin of gipper at them ..last count I could see 40+ dead or dying ..tomorrow morning I'm going all out on the big fcukers ..     I had one made of metal , had to put rubber on all the rest areas to stop the noise , if you made the slightest contact with the rifle on the metal the foxes heard it and were gone in a flash . Deer wasn't quit so bad but Charlie never even looked back they just tore of ..the rubber mat cured it ..
