  1. Sad news, great singer/songwriter... RIP Tom
  2. I've had terriers kill rats at that age but i wasn't something i was intentionaly trying to do. As with that little clip, well thats a lot of money to take a gamble on... Seen my first terrier of this type in Bakewell the other Sunday. Nice thing, youngster that had seen a bit. Bloke an his Mrs that owned it were a bit anxious at first, as i recognised the type and got a bit closer. Thankfully i also recognised it was sporting a SS collar and on mentioning that, the blokes shoulders dropped about 4 inches...!
  3. Neil as far as i'm concerned, with working terriers, a type/name is only applicable to the colour the dog is itself... If they are black i'd simply say Patterdale. If black an tan, a Lakie. All white and it's a Russell to me, no matter what it came out of and so on and so on... Thing is though, they aint my litter, so their owners can call em what they want...
  4. Nope, not my dogs mate. Nor has any other dog covered the bitch.
  5. Awaiting the next series of Taboo... Feck all else gets close imo.. That cnut's only got a lurcher ffs..!!
  6. working the rock keeps the nails down to down sometimes seen terriers with little left of there nails after working in the rock Dead right Tank and a dog with well used strong nails will fair better than one with excessively long brittle ones.
  7. I'd also add that i've owned a couple of serious climbers, one of which had a couple of efforts out in serious rock piles. Now the old boys i was out with back then worked them rocks weekly and i never heard nails ever mentioned in a rock dog. A dogs desire to 'get' and an agile body will be the defining factors and i doubt nail length plays any part. If a dog wants to turn its toes in, to grip and force then it will do and good strong short nails will do that job right enough. Those nails come with sound husbandry, excercise and graft, all natural and nothing will tell me different...
  8. Need a few metres of this meself so, what name, diameter and where to get it cheap please...?
  9. A question i dont understand, in terriers or lurchers... To me nail length is subject to excercise and graft and almost NEVER be an issue. Only nails i've ever had to work on were those of elderly, lame, or infirmed dogs. Other than that, get the feckers out the kennels more an nails sort their own shit out....
  10. Two whites born of blacks, throwbacks... A fine litter...
  11. I'd bet most blue bull crosses are far better at turning coin than foxes...
  12. Need to buy a couple of saplings for round here...
  13. John Bishop, the Runcorn Scouser... Unfunny tosser..!!
  14. From what little i know, few are bred runt x runt. I believe they are created by judicious deprivation.
  15. I had a mate do mine and he made a decent job of it, real smart and works great. What i will tell you is flush through regular. Buckets and barrels of water are far better than hoses for this job. Make sure you flush from all the grids and drains to your foul pipe and ensure everything is well clear of your property.
  16. Everyone with a flushing toilet will have a foul drain of some type. All you need to do is access it. If you dont know, find someone who does and either you, or someone who has experience can tap into it and all your dog shite issues are over...
  17. Egg and milk for me... The dog gets Monster and ProPlus
  18. Look after the young, look after the old and let the other buggers look after themselves....
  19. Got a goldfish, thats about as exotic as i'm ever gonna get..
  20. Feed mainly bone, then crush the white dry turds with a pestle and mortar and scatter the dust into the wind...
  21. Keep it civil, this is an interesting thred, please keep it that way...
