  2. I keep thinking to try the peveral of the peaks, its often in the camra magazine Nice on Dido... Just Googled it. Might just give that one a go.
  3. Fukc off bosun you will be dancing around inside the arena with your daughters lol ....... Your ruining me THL 'cred' here Socks! lol
  4. See, thats a fundamental flaw with collie crosses.... Because they pick and choose their runs, they only do half the graft, which means they last far longer than the more 'commited' types... lol
  5. Some great old pubs all over the country, the're usually the least likely lookin ones. The 'who the feck would drink in there' ones... Gonna try to find one tomorrow in Manchester, whilst my girls are watching Little Mix...
  6. Damn shame Liam, a poor end for a gallant worker. My type too. Sorry for your loss mate.
  7. Jiggy, they look similar to 'soft shell' kecks on ebay, which you'll find cheaper, with a bit more 'ballroom' and better colours there... I was considering them.
  8. Buzzards can give local hare populations a hammering by taking leverets but i'd very much doubt do much harm to rabbit numbers.
  9. If you wait for your perfect conditions you'll never get out...
  10. Oh you know me so well....
  11. Thought we'd try to get a family weekend away before Christmas... The Mrs fancys a log cabin somewhere but for the prices that were coming up i thought feck it, we'd get a city break abroad for about the same. How wrong was i... Unless your booking months ahead, you aint gonna get much change out of 5 ton! So its back to the lodge/cabin weekend (pref with a hot tub) and if anyone knows somewhere decent and reasonably priced, please let me know, i would be grateful. Cheers
  12. Deffo one trick ponies them bull crosses, none of them ones i had could herd feckin sheep..!

    Scotland

Took the little 'un to the memorial last year. They now hide that monstrosity round the back, out of sight.
  14. Dead easy to grow Dido. Done it with both bought to eat bulbs and bought to grow ones. Elephant garlic was a good un. Quite mild in taste but by its size you are a bit more encouraged seeing it grow. A good starter garlic. Wild garlic is easy enought to collect and grow on BUT only in tubs as it spreads like wildfire, very mild to taste though.

    Southport

Sadly Gnippers right mate, on them dunes where once you could run a dog to death, you'd be doing well to get to five... RHD!

Lunt Meadows, just south of Southport (Martin Mere is north) is also good to watch geese. Give me a shout when your coming an i'll put the kettle on.

    Southport

I like Southport, far worse coastal towns to stay at and if you seen a few geese, had a beer an emptied yer sack, you've done alright there...
  18. Think yourself lucky your up on those hills Vin, do the same job down in Cheshire and it'd be almost always bovine spectators... An them feckers nearly always invade the pitch..!!
  19. Spot on... is the patterdale the gamest terrier.??? Without getting all hung-up on a word, simply substitute game for hard and if then we are taking about terriers that work underground for this cross, then though you can find iron hard dogs of any type I'd stick my neck out and say there are probably more real hard black dogs than any other type... Plus in some lines you really can get leggy types and 'I' would put one of those to a good whippet before any German import.
  20. Said it before... Feck all wrong with cheap kibble imo BUT only as part of a decent diet of good raw. Same as scraps, they go in the bowl too. You wanna see the state of a roast chicken carcass after i've stripped it down for the dogs.. A Bombay Shitehawk would leave more on it..!! Also talking about scraps, my dogs have never looked better than when my Mam was a school dinner lady and they got all that gear... Feckin ran well on cheese pie they did.!! For me its always been about consistency, finding a diet that the dogs look and perform well on, is readily available and yes, cheap enough
