  1. Wishing him all the very best Ken
  2. I know a coursing dog called Scout was used in a very good line of bulls and the results were very good. Scout punched well above his weight on bigger quarry and was used for that reason. I'm sure Scout is gone now but the line he's from would be well worth looking into IMO. It's a line i'd like something off. Do a search on here and you'll find results. Best of luck... ?
  3. Coursing dog - Line bred stuff. There's gear out there that are run on all quarry and that's what i'd jump at. These dogs have so much more to offer than just the pure speed of a greyhound. If you went that way i'd be interested in a pup.

    Pool deaths

Swimming is a LIFE SKILL and should always be a priority for parents to ensure children are compitent... A total tragedy, such a shame BUT there is NO requirement by law for a Lifeguard to be present. As it stands in the UK all that is required is prominent bather notices, as have most UK hotels and holiday parks. I would say this is not the case everywhere abroad but i have seen hotel signage myself. Most family hotel pools are under 6 feet deep and most average hight adults that can't swim so well can 'bob' off the bottom comfortably. IMO, the cold (out of season) and the pani
  6. I have a half cocker bushing dog, which i got at just over a year old. I honestly thought I had a dud and for the first week went past local cover without a turn of the head... And that lasted till she scented something in there! Total change and she went through like a steam train and has and does ever since...
  7. Not by me it won't Eddie... ? Thats a fine example of a working terrier bitch. ?
  8. Cheers Ray, Katch, Darbo, Dan, Blacky, Pox, Stiffy and Sandy... Appreciated fellas...??
  9. They might not be able to taste but they still have soft tender innards and a ring piece. Thing is, how would you know what damage may be done if they just up and fly off after the feed. Best advice would be not to feed wild birds on bird tables but rather grow plants with edible berries and seeds in your garden.

    Tattoos ?

I like tattoo's, which is just as well as i have a few. Got my first 30+ years ago. That said, if i had my time over again i dont think i'd bother. All these new craze design's and the TV shows with bullshit sob stories about why the're getting them done, what a load of 'ol shite.... The old boy that done mine back then was very phropetic, said that there would be a massive craze and there has been. I remember him saying that it was all crap, tattoo's have been here for thousands of years and for most of them, it was all line work, which by design showed which tribe you belonged
  11. Yes mate, he was. Only 7, i expected to get a lot longer out of him. A good honest dog and just about the easiest and most loyal dog i've owned.
  12. Around the end of October, my dog was struggling to shit, just bits coming out and had one hell of a sore arse. Went the vet and after ruling out a blockage, we went through bloods and samples, which found nothing. She thought it may be a prostate issue, which she said i would suss by the shape of his shit. Next day ribbon like shit with a groove running down em confirmed prostrate and it was to be sorted with a simple course of hormone tablets. The dog had been having cream put on his arse to sort that, as the vet couldn't do any internal checks and by this time, his ring had calmed
  13. If you want to get me, or any other Mod off the site, then i'd suggest you message IanB.
  14. Nothing now... Sadly will be in the market again in 2020
  15. My daughter, showing a mates 13 year old dog, in the veteran class, a few years back...
  16. Keep it on track fellas, you start all that name callin bullshit and the thread gets locked and you can walk...
  17. Irish this and NHS that... This is a hunting site fellas, so we got a uncompromised 5 year run infront of us right now and though, this time, in the Tory manifesto, there wasn't a bill to revoke the hunting act. There is a bill for 'rights of way', which should really help the hunts with this new breed of Sabs that are now all over social media... HAPPY HUNTING PEOPLE, for the next 5 years... ?
  18. My approach to poachers is usually to put the pan over a medium heat and ensure the water never runs dry, especially in those none stick covered jobbies... Fresh, free range eggs and about 3 minutes should do it... ??

    RIP BELLAMY

WIP.... A naturalist and hunting supporter...
  20. Used to see him on tv over the years, never much liked him, nor his bears situation...
  21. Though i can catch a few, with a couple of traps i'm hardly a mole catcher... Though i do know of one bloke, just outside of the town but have never spoken to him. Lost Scouse would be the one to contact for anything around Ormskirk. I'll speak to him ASAP.
