On foot..maybe 3 out of 5...from a motor..maybe 8or9 out of 10 I'd agree Stabba, though on foot can be a real hit an miss affair, too many variables. So, if anyone needs to know what numbers could be achieved in a season, with a good dog and a dedicated and keen owner, do the maths..!

Feck all....!! We've done such a piss poor job of sorting Mink out over the past few years, why release anything else to damage our British wildlife?? Hang on... stopped to think how boring (though right) that answer was and that i'm not going with the true theme of the thred so... Amazonian women! Now that would be a fecking quarry...

Never liked the chop, seen too many 'bouncing' bunnys, missed shots and swolen hands! Never for rabbits in numbers. Chinning all the way..

Discussing the length of back, drop of second thigh is an insult to an old warrior like the one pictured !.....He didnt get his name up in lights for being pretty......and just out of interest one of his rear legs was f****d !....making his accomplishments even more remarkable.

Think about the ground your on. Get yourself between the bunnys and where they live. Pick the right night, windy, dark pref. (though as you improve this is not always the case). Keep the wind in your face. Walk a line (hedgerow) and lamp out into the field. Scan the field with the lamp but dont attempt to over light it. Sweep toward the middle, you'll keep the lamp down that way. Do you have a filter, these can be a great help in some areas? Quickly pick the 'right' bunny (9 times out of 10, the furthest out). Keep your beam on it and if your dog has seen it, slip. This can be difficu

Worked in leisure for 25 years, from lifeguard & gym instructor, through to managing five sites, still love it but it gets tough sometimes. Before that I worked on the rescue boat on the river Mersey, simply 'the' best job i've ever had...!

Yes mate, i'd pm Skycat, though she'll probably reply on here. In puppys things can rectify themselves, time will tell. i once owned a dog with a heart defect, didn't know until i'd given him a harder night. He'd caught a bunny, probably around the 20 mark, lamp off and awaiting his return, he didn't show! Lamp on and he's fitting on the ground. Came round in the van, got him to the vets and found that one of the valves in his heart wasn't working properly, a non-return valve and alowing blood back in. He was a good animal but any hard night graft would see him doing this. My vet sorted it an

saw bob marley live in 1980 what an awesome night I'm jealous mate I would of loved to have seen him perform, the nearest I get to hearing him now is his live albums. I'm almost there at collecting all he ever released,(travelled high and low). I have a few bits and pieces of none released material as well. Another band I would of desperately wanted to see were The Clash. seen the clash as well ,if you go on youtube and look up bob marley at deeside leisure center 1980 they have the whole gig audio only no video, according to some was one of the best marley gigs ever -

You can never underesimate a good collie, nor good collie blood. The right stuff can do just about anything! The key is though, finding the right blood and breeding the right stuff out of it, which IMO is a difficult task indeed..! As for collie strength, the pure breds come in all shapes & sizes and some of 'em i'm sure will be strong as fecking oxes. I once owned a lump of a first cross, powerfull, very, with a huge head. All who seen it said it was one of those 'new' bull greyhounds, it wasn't. I knew its breeding and it was genuine but I could see where folk were coming from. The onl

Not always the case mate, some injurys heal very well no matter how bad it sounds and these days the advancements with vets is staggering. Like I said mate, best of luck, I wanna see him run.

Both knives you've put up Midnight are truly beautiful things.. One day, one day i'll own sommat like these..!

Feck that mate, it's cold enough to need a coat and the grounds so soft me Stan Smiths'll get all muddy... I'm off to bed... Roll on next May..!

Not doubting you mate, some areas are choc full at this time of year, though sometimes when lamping, foxes will follow and circle round you, youngsters especially, giving the impression you've got one or two or more in each field you move to.
-
Oh no mate, sorry to here that. If that vet says he'll come good then do your best by him and get him right. I'm looking forward to seeing him run when he's right. Best of luck.

I suppose there are plenty of dogs that annoy me but if I look deeper it ain't the dog its the fecking owners and breeders. As a dog lover I can see the worth in just about any breed in the right hands. Just about all of the above breeds mentioned can make me think twice but for all round pissing me off are the multitude of bull breeds in our inner citys, huge lumps of dangerous shite with 16 and 17 year old pricks at the other end of the lead... Accidents waiting to happen..!!!

Same as the one off the Steptoe film, that dived over the rails to eat the ciggy old man Steptoe was smoking.. Classic!

Seen that many a time mate, some foxes use the play dead tactic well and pre-ban, some young dogs have hit 'em and, without getting bit, that fox has played dead and the dog let go and stood over it. Fox opens an eye and bang, up again and off! Seen one youngster hit that fox three times and give it some stick before that fox bit back and then it was game over! I wouldn't say all the dogs i've seen do it went on to make it (I just don't know) but one I owned did and forever after seen the job through, many many times. On the subect of the playing dead foxes, i know of a bloke that this ha

Ya know Davey, imo nothing at all..!! After trying many different jackets in the field, nothing has ever come close to my old Solway for 'all round' ability, feck me it was tough and the best bit about 'em is that after a few years wear it's like an old friend..! I'm deffo going to go back to one.
