  1. i like them cause i have total confidence in them.if im walking my dog near a busy road and he gets spooked by boy racers and thier dump valves,or air brakes on a lorry.i know no matter how much burling about he does on the lead or trying to slip the lead.it aint gonna happen.ive had a collars in the past where the have snapped the fixings on the collar.very well made collars. Now ain't that the truth Scothunter To be honest, I love good leather work, those Harris & Watson collars are superb but firstly, I couldn't justify the money and secondly, I couldn't (and maybe the colla
  2. Thats damn good advice from Skycat. One more thin I would do, one that I used myself when I moved house, is that i never allowed the dogs to enter the house before me, I always 'invited' them in. Made them wait everytime at the door, walked in myself and then beconed them in. Seen this method used by Ceasar Milan a few years back, it re-affirmes to the dog that it is 'your' house and they are invited in and should behave in the right manner. It worked for me when we moved and ever after. Best of luck.
  3. I'm sure Whin will take it in the spirit it was done. I'm with Del, in that 'ol Whin is one of the few i'd like to meet on here, and maybe then I could fathom what he's banging on about, he lives 'a life less ordinary', and that is always to be commended.
  4. You have done the right thing imho and i would not hesitate in having a pup out of this breeding out of two tested working dogs thats the mistake a lot make going back to pure greyhounds or non ped whippets imho.Good luck with the pups.
  5. For anyone looking for a pet come moocher without too much work expectations these could fill that gap. Fifty quid is butttons too, as you know exactly whats in 'em and they look very bonny pups.
  6. Alright Wrighty, i'm sure there is one or two, that may be on this site, that might work terriers but under the current climate don't expect a million replys on here, especially as you are a new member. Stay on the forum, contribute well and all may become clear in time.
  7. When the Pie dog was put to his litter sister he bred his best stock.
  8. Nice lookin dogs lads, best of luck with 'em.
  9. I once had a litter of this cross, or rather a Rottie to a lurcher. It was a long time ago, I knew of a good bitch that I would have loved to own, then i heard she was for sale and snapped her up. She was as good as I thought but as the weeks went on she started banging on weight and slowing up, she was pregnant! I went back to the seller and was told the father was his other dog, good enough he was too, though very disappointed, I settled on having the litter. When they were born, I knew sommat wasn't right. So back to the seller and, with some 'gentle persuasion' found out that the bitch ha

  11. probably known more for being on Beetlejuice
  12. I got the same about a year ago from there, a cracking statue for a very reasonable price.
  13. The best terrier I owned was hit by a car in its first year, that one was pinned too. Once right, didn't make a pennys worth of difference to the dog, it grafted till it was around ten then lived a fireside life with my parents till forteen. It would push on into the tightest spaces, could run like feck (it was a leggy Lakey) and climb like a cat too! Best of luck with yours.
  14. I suppose you could be quite right CP but funnily enough, when I joined the site I never introduced myself and my first post was entitled 'That old chestnut, Minshaw dogs'...
  15. That is unbelievable! Alot of times gone into that boy, 1/4 bull in him? my old man reckons it's pure greyhound? shame the only field its likely to see has a rope ring in it lol Sadly, no more Junior... He lost an eye from some serious poor handling from one judge (long fingernails!) and then damaged his spine when a ring rope twanged back down hard on it. So sadly he now only compeats in ugliest dog, and dog with the least waggiest tail in shows run by the local W.I., plenty of success there! Though I am thinking about renting him out for Halloween this year..!
