Skycat's right, get your dog to the vet asap! I have a dog thats lost his eye, Blackthorn, the vet said it may be possible that it could be saved but it started to rupture and swell, changing shape and leaving him in fecking agony! So, it was right back to the vets and had it removed. Christ only knows what state he would have been in without treatment!! We can only imagine what discomfort or pain a dog is going through, spare him that and get to a vet.

Wouldn't give a damn what kit she's sporting, that girl makes anything look good. My Mrs and her niece are off to see her at the Echo next month.

I'm like Tomo, in that i've met a few but don't know any as mates. Had a pint with Vinny Jones, The Damned, Marillion, Chakka Kahn (drinking pints of Guinness & a cracking laugh!), Paddy McGuinness and Henry Rollins, who was waiting for Ozzy Osbourn! Clarissa & Johnny too, met them many times, on the Marches, at the Cup and when the filmed in the city with the club. Met Ricky Tomlinson a few times too, flew back from Spain with him once, a more down to earth bloke you'll never meet.

Another good, honest write up Moll. I'm sure all those teething problems with Rudie will iron out, especially with more graft, he'll make you proud.

Rats...! Hunted 'em since I was a kid but still have a fear when a dog ain't around...

I'm with Whin, in that i'd like to see 'em run too BUT thats what i'd want if I was looking at any litter! Make no bones, these dogs are no mismatch, neither are they born from a whim or someones fancy. They are a well thought out cross, from someone who has more than done his homework and sought out the best he can.... Yep, i'd certainly take one on.... -

Had a Lakey dog back in the early 80's that I hold in high regard. He was out of a Tyson bitch to a Cowan Dog, so for type, well bred enough. To leggy for most, he was just about spannable and with a Beddy top knot if not stripped. Didn't have the best of starts after getting hit by a car and breaking his front leg at around 9 months, when the plaster came off he just about whent everywhere with me and it's that, which I think made the difference. I've owned a few digging dogs that were just as good as him down a hole but the fact that he could work with ferrets, was a cracking ratter (killin

My thoughts exactly..!

A mate of mine in the late 80's had a dog with a drop of Borzoi in it, decent dog too but I wouldn't recommend anyone go out and think they should breed from any kc Borzoi. Thats just askin for trouble imo.

Our Lurchers are so versitile and adapt so well to new challenges, thats why we love 'em. I've brought on a fair few older dogs in my time, most picked up just about any form of both training and hunting. With the exception of two collie crosses (at different times and I ain't knocking the breed) who, once wed to their own type of hunting I could not change. One was a bitch that had predominantly done daytime work and hunted up, doing the same constantly on the lamp and the other was a bitch that would be fine around ferrets at home but would nail them (and anything else!) in the field. I put

Then, as I see it Whin, he's used the best thats available to him and, thats just common sense.. But lets face it, especially in 'our' lurcher world, common sense, ain't that common..!! Who has a mulitutude of 'the finest' of their own available to stud..? So, he sussed out the best available to him. Must hold a fair amount of faith in his choice..? Yer, luck has a lot to do with anything, if you belive that way, but you can only do your best by your dogs, whether in the field or choosing the right lines to go off in terms of breeding and, to me, these lads are doing everything right, so fa

Log shed/stores are easy to knock together, just google or ebay 'em and take a design from there. Though you could simply take time out and stack 'em correct, can look quite smart if done right and they weather good too. There is a few vids on youtube showing how to do it correct.

Your one to talk! You had your chocolate dog AT STUD on said website for a ridiculous price, and you had no fooking idea what breeding was in it because you were on here asking! Your just as bad if not worse than the guy you are criticising. You are both a pair of scrotes who should be relieved of the terriers in your kennel before you do more harm. FTB shut the fook up all you do is moan old boy and there was no price of stud you fool and if you clearly looked it said the breeding on, your the kind that would sell dogs this much so your no much better mate theres a big difference fr

Could be a reaction to a chemical, think back to where you have been? Though the skin and skin problems can be a devil to get to the bottom of. I wouldn't burst 'em. Simply get him to the vet and they'll sort it.

Good going lads

I think Bunnys reply is worthy of note on this unusual cross. Personally, I like sommat different BUT it must come with all the thought and honesty with it. I do belive Flint and co have done there homework and time will tell. I have been out in the presence of Flint and these dogs and they certainly looked the part, never seen a dog with more ivory! Flint seemed an honest enough bloke too. They got a run or two but I was on the other side of a wood and missed it and later, whilst waiting for the hounds to come in, in deep snow, 'ol Flint looked mighty uncomfortable, we all were, but he a

As a kid, used to have a Great Aunt that would come out with some wierd ones... For anything sticking out, like bed head hair, ' (It's) sticking out like kittys leg'.. Couldn't work this one out for years, thought kitty was one of her friends who i'd never met..! If you or anyone else were hanging round with mates, ' (He's) stuck to him/them like shit sticks to a blanket'...! And fav for strange, if she was surprised by anything, ' GOD BLESS..! Said the woman as she peed in the river'...?? She had loads, i'll keep thinking..!

I don't know of any female lampers in the Liverpool area Denise, there may be some but not to my knowlage. I'm sure plenty of females do get out with the dogs though, my Mrs as an example, will get the dogs out daytime and have a mooch and, pre-baby, has done a fair bit of lamping with me. I'd broaden your search to anyone who is honest, genuine and trustworthy and i'm sure you'll have better luck.

So true Gnash, with multitude of 'funky' names out over the past few years names like Mark, Mary, Ian, Jayne etc are getting few and far between on little 'uns. I'd go with Paul or Andrew myself for a boy and Mary or Hazel for a girl. Or, how about Ernest & Beryl, you won't find eithers been used for about 40+ years...!!

I'm a point and slip merchant... Well I am when lamping in company and they bring thier dog. Don't see any problem, 'different days (or nights) call for different ways'. I have know many purists to this way of running dogs and most have done very well...
