  1. Leave poor Macky alone..!!!
  2. It's just all about the 'pitch' these days...
  3. Double edged sword Phil, though its tough on 'ol Dusty right now, mid summer pups do well. This heat ain't gonna last forever, probably break before she drops but Summer ain't left us, so they'll be dead right for rough an tumbles in September sun... Best of luck with 'em
  4. Think ya need a bigger twig there Millet..
  5. Stroller, if you ain't got 'em yet, could I recommend Meindl Borneo, rather than Burma's, much stronger and hardwearing sole IMO. Less flexible, as they are a slightly heavier boot but it's the same sole found on other more extreme Meindl's, like Glockner. I've had mates go through two pairs of Burma's to my one of Borneo and mine get much more stick! I've had mine near 8 years and they are still going strong.
  6. Hello Bri, welcome to the site.
  7. Swings an roundabouts for me this year.. Whilst I have a couple of new decent specks, one of the old places I loved is all but fecked and though I will try it once or twice early on, after that....
  8. Yep, seen this one D&N, what a fecking helmet but like you say, he does have a skill or two... Recon, if a TV company gets by the small problem of insurance, this tit could be the next Steve Irwin..
  9. Never much thought about this pre-season stuff till I came on here, dogs were/are kept more or less the same with only sunny day 'basking' and a swim or two thrown in... Now this years thrown a few things out of kilter with the heat but worst of all is my age and new bad back! I wouldn't mind but a week or two ago, me an the mutt had been flying, on my new bike an never felt so good...! A bit of a bugger! But lets face it, judging by your routines your dogs should be well on the way to real fitness once the season is well underway.
  10. I'd agree with HM an others, if it goes an goes well, that'll do... Maybe I'm lucky, because i've honestly seen most breeds rat, propper rat too, from your early Plummer book mainstays, Lakie, Border, Russell & Fell/ Patterdale, to Plummers, Beddies, Cairns, Westies even Yorkies! Seen a couple of cracking Fox terriers I'll never forget too and just about every cross twixt all these an others... My fave... Well, 'ol DBP weren't wrong when he talked about those fiery dogs and Johnny D knew his stuff too, because for me, from way back when I seen loads of terriers go, if I had to do

  12. Moxy's right BB, if they are all you say, get some pics an bang 'em up, of whatever ones you've done, that way you'll get honest feedback for the future... Now, brace yourself...!!!
  13. Feck off Millet...! At least you can see a bunny an a dog... (sort of.. )

    Bald Or Grey?

We know what you mean butty! .....strange.............but its still better than saying " fella " Or Scouse kids that permanently say Lid...
  15. Two oldies for ya and the only pictures I've ever taken of a dog lamping, you can tell why I never bothered after!! Bout 1991...
  16. To my mind it was around the mid (money making) 80's that vets underwent changes and charges. It never mattered before which vet you took your animal too, it was all 'much of a muchness' in terms of prices, (suppose its the same now!!) From that point to now we seen plenty of practices change and go all 'high tech' along with the prices and we hunted hard to find the real working dog vets, charging working dog prices as they disappeared year by year and we went further and further afield for the right one. Some clung on but the days of Mr Seargent and the legend that was Mr Randall have gone
  17. Personally, any hunting 'theme' is always sellable. Whatever the material used, give it a hunting/dogs twist and things like that go. You only have to look at country fairs and ebay. Waterproof, just think how many on here would use sommat like that for whilst sipping Pimm's by their pools in this weather..!! Joking aside, of course waterproof..!! Good for you for getting up an having a go, best of luck an keep us posted...

    Is It Just Me

If its that hot mate, just buy a fan for the room but make sure its balanced well and on low, or it'll keep you awake worse than the heat... When I'm too hot in bed, I simply force myself away from the hot ass I'm snuggled up to, tough I know but just sometimes needs must...
  19. Ray, sometimes we just appreciate somethings bravery and reward it with a little help. No it ain't natural but that's what sets us apart, for better or worse (mostly worse!). But don't sweat it, that Spa will get another feed easy, this time of year is bountiful for 'em, ten ton of youngsters to snap up, all done without interference... Good job you didn't loose Buck... the Spa would have sh*t itself and died of fright..!
  20. Well before your time mate but Beryl & Sandra. The Liverbirds... Classic!!
  21. You really need to ease off on Eastenders.... Just put the remote down and back slowly away from the television..!!
