  1. I used to love a pair I had years ago Pete. Belstaff waxy's for bikes but I'd cut the stitched saddle out of 'em, cooled 'em down a bit, hard as nails those were. Best of luck in yer search mate...
  2. If it did what I wanted, then of course.... When I was about 15 I went to my first show in Wigan. Being a city kid from the middle of a big city I was gobsmacked that there were so many lurchers on the planet, never mind one place. I remember standing ringside, next to a bloke with a big brindle deerhound/collie type cur. Looked mean, both of 'em but that dog was smart as feck to me... So, I couldn't help myself and I asked... "Nice dog mate, what do you do with it?" I think I was expecting a full book of explanation, coursing, lamping, ferreting, nets field, fen & scrub, all carried

  8. Unless its gonna be a show pony, I wouldn't worry mate. Bull blood can produce 'bad mouths' to use a showy phrase but it wont affect working ability...
  9. You read threds like this regarding a dogs nails and how important it is to keep em short and the easiest way to get dogs not to mind is to maul about with nails and clippers on the toes when they are pups, no need to cut as such, just 'nibble on the pointy bit and play holding the foot etc. Pup don't mind as long as your stroking and being gentle. Later on, as adults, no probs. No different than children at the barbers or hairdressers, whilst your gettin cut, stick 'em in the chair and pretend to do it type thing.... Just with regard to dogs not liking nails getting done, an old greyhound bo

  11. I just look at a kid like that an wanna slap the face off its parents... Nothing funny for me there..!
  12. Similar to mine Gaz... Though I put my kennels in an open fronted shed type thingy, gives 'em the option of getting on top if they like. With a big overhang to the roof. If I re-do it again I'd go for a big shed option, 8x8 and build kennels in it, the top of them being a work bench. Had this in my last house and boy do I miss me shed..!!

  20. Just wondering if anyone can help me..? When I came to this house it had as part of the 'outbuildings' (for want of a better word) a coal store. Its a great space, attached to the house perfect for all sorts of storage, without coal, which I still use. I'm looking to source a coal bunker to put outside. Thing is, we have recently put down a new patio, on which the coal bunker will stand, next to the gas bottles, (rural life is damned expensive!) and because of that I'm looking to find a smart looking one to fit in. Now, after searching the usual, ebay, gumtree and general Google searche
