  2. Grant, at that time, he was a damn sight better though he'd burst the stitches from the eye being removed, which was ok as although we had a hole to fill, his eye socket (!) it was just a case of filling it with wound powder till it healed. He ended up with the same face and just a big indentation where there eye was. Now he uses it like a normal eye, blinks and scratches it but there is no eye there..! The worst bit was when the eye bulged and ruptured... Feck me, the worst thing you can imagine, the dogs eye completely disfigured and bulging from its head and the dog in total agony... Made
  3. If Dave has really done a career review, he'd spew it and go on the doors in concert square...
  4. You are very lucky mate, a dog of mine had Blackthorn through its eye and lost it. Its one of those things you can't determine, what damage it does. We done as the vet said and left it, within two days the dog was in agony with the eye bulging (and that ain't a pretty sight!). Nowt to do but remove the eye... Blackthorn's a nasty 'ol thing, next time your spiked in the hand, or get a small splinter, imagine the pain of it in the eye... I hope your dog is doing well..
  5. You know what... She's done her job real GOOOOD..!!! She wanted the world talking, (all news is good news!) and we are........

    Tenby

My niece has just gone to stay there till Thursday... Nice place Tenby, the furthest I ever went on holiday as a kid, I went once and loved it. I revisited the place about ten years ago, in a 'things I must do' type trip and immediately realised why I have such fond memory's of the place.
  12. Someone else recommended him to me as a vet who knows the score with workers.

  16. Are you trying to say... Lads I do not care what you are saying, as I have been bathing his feet and if I think he's bad...(?) I wouldn't want to see a dog after a hard nights graft, so I don't need to explain to you jokers (?). As lads on here know the game i'm after... I'll stop there as we don't need to go into anything else...
  17. Must have been a big yard that dog had free running in, because like a few others have said it looks right enough in them pics. You only have to look at its traps (trapeseius) above its shoulders to see its in ok knick. Feet & nails look good on those angles too, though we cannot see how poor the pads are from those pics but the dogs standing on 'em right enough... So, why not just do a before an after, in a month or two and then we can all see how good ya get it...?
  18. Sounds a handy thing, with those types of ads and the wording, less usually means more.

    Liver

Simply feed fresh whole carcass food to ferrets and they can eat liver there, without you overdoing it. Seen some nasty defects and even death when ferrets are fed to much offal, particularly liver.
  20. I think you have a good point there Sandy, youngsters, particularly keen youngsters, will put a lot of effort into a dog because that is what they think is best, based on what they are told to do and its us older ones that tell 'em...! I do think as we get older we come to an understanding based on a dogs instincts, ability's and capabilities and learn to run with those more. That feeling of trust between you and your dog comes with both age and experience. Takes a long time to come and it can be broken in an instant but when you know you got it, you are indeed a lucky fellow...
  21. Strong Stuff makes collars Hypochlorite is great but make sure its well hosed down with animals around.
  22. Dubin is good but that is an old wives tale about the stitching, well even if it ain't your boots will wear out before the dubin takes hold on the stitches. I'd say renapur is better but either or, any decent proofer is better than none. Edited to add, Brasher boots were originally built on old lasts that the company bought off Reebok. The reason was to produce a boot you could buy from the shop in the morning and walk up a mountain by afternoon, without damage to your feet...
  23. Seen that type of stuff before mate but not for a long time and then mostly false marking. Youthful 'over nurture', damn shame, especially for a dog with as much natural instinct as a Beddy cross. It can change though, simply ignore the dog, on rabbit soaked ground from the min it gets out the car, praise instinct, ignore the looks of wanting. It may mean lots of missed bunnys but the penny will drop, to an extent.
