  1. Whilst I agree with GTE and others about it being your dog and its your choice when you breed from it, I also seem to be constantly thinking that so many folk have some sort of compulsion to breed almost as soon as they get a dog, never mind when a dog is working, and loads of talk about lines too?? If the bitch is showing so much promise then simply enjoy her for what she is and does... Yep, dogs can be lost (I know, I lost my best before I took anything from him!), though on here you'd think it was a weekly occurrence for some but all in all its a rare thing and a young bitch like that sh

  4. You are now in our 'one eyed dog club', forever destined to search for critters that only turn right (or left, depending on which eye has gone!)

  6. Sorry to read this Andy, hope all is sorted for you soon.
  7. Spot on, Clapton has gone on to say that "I couldn't get near him". There are so many more accomplished players than Hendrix now but they all owe him so much. For me he's still the best there has been. I too have seen Steve Vai, with Dave Lee Roth on his first tour, he lives in a different dimension which I personally don't get and dislike. Far to technical and sterilised. Anyway, guitar players who ain't singers should be part of a band, Slash to name but one, is feck all without GnR, who bought his last album, what album, who cares... My personal favorites are Angus Young and Billy
  8. My daughter is four, she's my first and I'm 46 so i've had time enough to work out that I ain't gonna be 'cool dad' forever. From what i've seen, especially with girls, dads go through the cool, not cool, deffo not cool, highly embarrassing and finally when they are near all growed up, cool again. I'm cool at the min and loving every minute of it but it won't last forever, so when my bubble bursts i'll do the same as Socks and whilst she thinks i'm a total embarrassment, maybe her friends won't and i'd like to think, down the line, both ends will meet again, be nice that, as it should be...
  9. That's right mate, fazza has too. My dog lost his eye at 3 years old, he adapted well enough for his type and has caught enough gear since. You simply have to be more mindful of your ground and more 'understanding' with your runs and misses. Your pup will adapt far better than mine ever did though, she will grow up not knowing any different and that will be very beneficial. You carry on and bring your pup up no different than you would of prior to the accident, do all what you would have done and I'll betcha most of the time you'll forget that she only has one eye!!
  10. I enjoyed watching it, thought it was an interesting and thought provoking bit of tv. Out of those who watched it, was the thought 'i'd be alright' running through your head as you thought about how you would look after yourself and your family... Then, did you find that it had provoked old thoughts, pre-programme about such things....? Funny, ain't it how us hunters have a sort of inbuilt survival place, deep inside our minds....
  11. AC/DC... (Malcolm & Angus Young)
  12. How could I forget... Van Halen (Eddie & Alex)
  13. Out of that lot Dytkos only the Pointers, Sly and the Sutherland lot are actually siblings... How about the Allman Bros...

  15. Nice pup, how old is it now and whats that nice timber build going on behind you, nice job that..?
  16. I agree with C.Hall, you do get some funky lookin shite and, if thats all you feed you will need to swill down the shovel after each clear up as it don't exactly 'roll off' BUT if thats whats readily available, you supplement it well and would not be so blind as to ensure you find some other available food if it don't suit, then why not...! Some dogs do very well on certain 'poor grade' grub and if they look right, perform right on it and its easily available.... Then don't be a fecking food snob..!
  17. Epic swim, especially for a woman her age... Dangerous waters for sure. Near 53 hours of constant motion/exercise in salt water, you can only imagine how tough that is on mind, body and soul... I've done a bit of this in my time so I have an idea but that lady is phenomenal....
