  1. Some more photos that u will put up of bull bloods... This is Tess, line bred half cross
  2. Maurice, if I remember right... He was a pleasure to both own and work
  3. Such a cleaver dog. He was mustard on feather. Partridge a specialty. Learned how to take pink foot geese, stalking them along a hedge, then a lightening burst and a huge aerial. RFHD both day and night...
  4. He really was mCH, took everything I put in front of him, fur or feather. Another easy dog to own and run
  5. That pup was bred by Joe Ox. Possibly the best all rounder I've seen, never mined owned...
  6. It was not something I engineered. I don't believe kids and dogs always get on. But these two were just strangley drawn to each other. She would spend every spare moment with him, and he, had the most calm relaxed manner around her, from the minute she was born. It was lovely to see... Broke her heart when he went. She has pictures in her room.
  7. Ah yes, I think you may have introduced me... Today I've got 30 (more) sweetcorn plants, fenel (which I don't know what to do with) and lemon mint. Along with more Californian poppy's & Zinna... Arn't mates great...
  8. 'Ol one eye... They were best friends forever. She tried to spend every minute with him, and he'd of died for her...
  9. Hawthorn hedges can be a bit tricky for a dog that risks all for a strike...
  10. I live 3 miles away from one of the UK's biggest red squirrel reserves in Formby. Now you'd like to think, with the red on a knife edge, that around that reserve, they'd keep the greys as tight as possible. Not so... On the farmland around me, they put down 10,000 trees 15 years ago. And last year planted 90,000 more. We are overrun with grey squirrels here, yet when speaking to both The Forrestry Commission, and The National Trust, who both have cownership, neither gave a feck about the grey numbers here already, and how they will increase, or the red population under threat up
  11. Watched this this morning,
  12. Be interesting how this might play out in Iran with the general population. Speaking to an Iranian national two days ago, who hates the religious regime they live under, and any chance to overthrow that would be welcome...
  13. Love mates like that... Our little village does OK for plant swaps, which get you putting in some stuff you wouldn't normally do. Remember Dogginlad off here, well Jay loves his gardening, and we constantly swap both veg and border plants. It really makes the difference
  14. "Use it to salt a meal in a real unusual way.." Could be a new gimmick for that bellend The Salt Bae
  15. You simply find a bait that the arm spike (at the bottom) can go right through until it touches the base. Then raise the bar, and lock it in to the clip at the top. If the arm spike is not fully through the bait, it won't lock. Once locked, the rat will raise the arm trying to remove the bait, and bingo..! Liquorice Allsorts are good bait, I've used apple, dates, cooked chicken etc. Usually, smear a bit of peanut butter/chocolate spread & coconut oil around it too, just to make sure...
  16. Cracking traps the Black Cats, I've had loads of success with them
  17. If your using a Fenn, try a mix of peanut butter, chocolate spread and coconut oil, spread it on the underside of the pedal of the trap, if that makes sense. A couple of monkey nuts (dirt cheap) or chopped liquorice allsorts can tempt them in, though the mix underside will do the job
  18. Feckin hate that little gobshite Oddie...
  19. Bob, that may be old Ken Woodacre in Leigh, not sure if he's still in the game...
  20. Deffo getting closer, this juvenile delinquent was racing round my front lawn chasing pigeons the other evening... (Forgive the shot, its a screenshot from a video)
  21. "Who's a pretty boy then..."
  22. I seen a clip of a rug stall going ablaze there this year. A stall selling hair gel, vests and micro bra's would make a fortune there...
