I remember that Boerbel in the back of the truck, and the truck rocking when it went off (frequently). Scary critter for sure. Spoke to the lads that had it. From the South Coast (Hampshire?) If I remember right.

We had some great times at the Welsh in the 90's. The highlight for us was the International Terrier Matches that Dave used to organise. That one in '94 I was stood at the bar talking with Lyn Harber, the next second a Lad who was fighting comes flying backwards at us, knocking into Lyn. Lyn, who isn't the biggest of blokes, steadies himself, turns to me, and cool as a cucumber says "excuse me Paul" and marches over to a crowd of about 15 blokes going at it, and dives right in the middle of em, fists flying..!! The tables were long boards on benches, and they were full of pints. One

Pup's drive me mad too Tony. I love the excitement/anticipation of what a new pup can bring, but the truth is, I really can only stand 5 mins of being around them. I see puppies as an 'occupational hazard' of owning working dogs, and leave the fun bit to my family. Fecking hell, reading that back, I sound like the Grinch of THL...

Unlike you, I'm very far from kennel blind mate. The land around me ain't the fens, but it's not small either. Altcar estate is on my doorstep. Your last post tells me you have limited knowledge of this land. And just for the record, I ran my bull bloods, and my saluki crosses all over the country.

Nope, I predominantly ran stuff with my half crosses. Just to be clear, I ran saluki cross dogs, long before the bull bloods. I know what they are capable of, I love what they can do. But imo most of them are total shithouses, and I was not prepared to bring a pup on for 12/16 months to see it make a half arsed attempt on a half grown fox. Dogs for jobs mate...

Nope, not really... My game changed, so I changed the type to suit. If I'd of carried on as I did in the 90's, I'd never of entertained anything with saluki in it...
