    I had a quick read through the post earlier and I'm defending anyone in any way but I had a dog put down recently and the only proof I have of it is the collar and lead I carried out with me? Are you meant to get a slip like off a log book?

    I think they have a very strong pair bond so I think you'll struggle but also there are lads desperate for bully hens so you could move them on easily enough or have a try at your own hybrids?

    My goldies have only just started filling eggs too,this time last year I'd had mules fledged a couple of weeks ago.

    I've got a couple of pouters in the nest now and some eggs under a feral feeder pair which I'm hoping will be good birds too. I hate breeding as the birds are cooped up while they are but sometimes you need to breed replacements. Hopefully they turn out good and I can get back to catching ferret food ?

    I'm thinking of moving over to the dark side and getting a lab pup for the family in the house and a bit of shooting with me, mainly night time ? does the parents hip scores mean the pups will be relatively clear of problems or is it pot luck? When you look at pups online there is cheap and dear ones which seem decent abd cheap and dear which seem shite. Its that or I'm going for a cocker but I'm looking forward to having a nice placid dog and stress free walks .

    I miss my rollers but like you I didn't get time to fly them properly with working full time and my fertility problems. My pouters are better for me as I can just leave one out working.

    Out of interest have all your dogs buried bones? My last terrier is the first dog I've had that would sneak away and bury her rats and I've had one other dog (collie bred) which buried food or bones but collies are weird buggers at the best of times. The rest just ate them.

    I've seen Kellas cats mentioned and videos of them etc and dna says they are hybrids between ferals and sw but at what point could/would a feral start evolving into a bigger cat? Some of them ferals in Australia are pretty bloody big and there's no Scottish crosses over there?

    Personally I'd look for a goldie cock or try a trio in the flight. If you got a goldie now they'd soon pair up in this spring weather outdoors.

    Easy to keep but trickier to breed. I used to keep a few and even imported some proper plakat ones from Thailand. The showy type ones aren't my cup of tea but some of the koi and dragon plakats are nice.

    I think its to do with how highly strung they are.
