  1. Found this evening near Atherton, Manchester. Black and white lurcher male. Looks in good condition, well trained and athletic.
  2. If only it were the first time I had seen exactly this. Some cruel cowards out there.
  3. Can't believe you took a pic of the blimmin cakes! Happy Bday for next week missus. And it's Dennis I love
  4. My blimmin presence isn't enough!! And here I was, thinking you came for my charming personality
  5. No bull. Collie/grey x beddie/whippet. He's only been with us a week and I'm a tad besotted. Looking for a home BTW
  6. Nothing better to do today so friends came for a wander, and the sun was out for a change Off on the trail. Lurchergrrls Stella. Dennis The wunder whuppet. And the Almighty Rigby. I'm only allowed one dog in the car - may get the seats dirty So today we took new boy Zac. We did some jumping. Bit of swimming. Lots of running. And posing too of course Always a pleasure when you come over missus and Thanks everyone for looking
  7. I use to take my bitch out when in season, but she started thinking more with her fanny She stopped mid chase to mark!!!
  8. What criteria would you need for them to be considered in the same league?
  9. Brindle lurcher bitch found in Wigan. PM for more details.
  10. A pedigree is just the dogs lineage usually over 3 generations - so maybe that question isn't as stoopid as it first appears. Was once told that my bull lurcher of 23" had Dane in it - woman had worked with Danes all her life and knew these things. My Borzoi is apparently an EBT cross due to the long nose.
  11. No. Faulty genetics causing deformities. Can have the same trouble mating silver ferts too. I don't get why people want merles. Why they specifically aim for merle pups. May as well be breeding epilepsy into a line.
  12. It's not unlikely that others in the litter may be deaf too. Go knock on his door and have a convo.
  13. Was a good day, enjoyed it. Nice to see some old friends and meet some new ones.
  14. Why do people breed merles knowing these problems :/ I would get the eyes checked too. Entropy is also common in merles, plus other sight problems. I wouldn't consider a deaf dog a liability anymore than a hearing dogs liabilities. Hand signals are quick and easy to teach and can be very useful when quiet is needed. And most dogs read signals than respond to vocal commands anyway. It all depends on if you have the time and patience for the learning curve YOU need.
