Best holiday I've ever been on, my dad won a weeks holiday on one in a raffle and he didn't even remember buying the tickets We had a driver but could have done it ourselves and he did let us drive. If I went again I'd take fishing stuff and an air rifle because we went through some cracking places full of game with nobody around for miles.

I'm not keen on strange dogs, there's always some fecker with a dog that has quirky traits too the owners see as normal and don't realise others don't. My missus auntie has a shepherd which barks its nut off when you go round and they say it's saying hello and leave you stood in the hallway with the horrible fecking mutt barking with its head by your bollocks as they walk off into the living room. Another person I know used to let their rotty sit glaring at you while you were on the couch without telling it to pack it in, it's stuff like that makes me wary.

What are her symptoms mate? I can eat oranges but when someone peels one near me the smell knocks me sick and the lads at work think it's really funny when we're stuck in the landy and stick the peel in my bag or hood or something.

If I said I hadn't lost any I'd be lying mate but the best way to do it is tape their wings up so you don't get escapees then sit them on the shed in a wire cage so they can see their surroundings and kit box and take it all in and keep them on the "peckish" side so that when you whistle or rattle your tin etc they dive on their food dish. After a couple of weeks of that let them out un taped one at a time while the taped ones are on the roof and they won't go far. Once they've had a fly and come back they will come back the next time. Once you have some birds settled its miles easier introduc

Ive had a liitle think about having this dog, but i think it would be the wrong decision at the moment, ive always bin a strong believer in having ur dogs from pups. 5 months is still a pup mate, if the lad has brought the pup up well it could end up no different to one you had at 8 weeks. I got my old dog at 6 months and the lad had done a good job with him.

Keep it up paul. I gave up a couple of months before my littlest was born and she's 1 tomorrow so well over a year now. I quit cold without patches or owt and haven't cracked once, you've got to want to quit.

If that was aimed at my post then the bulb wasn't their only light source it just extended their day. They were by the window in my dining room. As you say though people bred in Auschwitz so crack on with your dingy hole.

Everyone says 8 days but if like me your waiting on the bloody things it's normally weeks. I've got a pair of rollers and a pair of mags locked in breeding cages and they both layed their second eggs today so should have some chicks in 18 days. Knowing my luck they'll be clear eggs or the parents won't feed the chicks.

My first canaries had chicks on boxing day just from being in the house with a normal light bulb on and the cock bird was a current year bird.

It's a 45 degree bend off a soil pipe whatever diameter that is, 4 inch? I just tape the outside 5 flights or so too, they can get off the floor but can't fly.

That pic was when I first got the box, it's now got hinged landing boards which I can sit a wire cage on and call them back in through but tbh I just hold the door open and put their feeder in and they pile in, they learn to use the pipe trap quicker than bob wires I reckon and they can't get back through them like I had happen with the wires. The pop hole is handy for a bird that's late back or being an awkward twat and not trapping in quick. Birds that trap slow are the first in the next day.

Hi mate did you cut back on rollers you had I gave half away and the other half (i think) got ill from a stray fantail, some died and the rest got culled.

I quit smoking over a year ago now with no patches or owt but my missus carried on until recently, she bought an ecig thing and used it for 2 days and then just stopped. I think something in your head just says "it's come to this has it, feck that" and once you think like that you've cracked it.

They were rollers mate yeah. I'm hoping to breed a few rollers and get a few off my mate this year and I've also got a pair of mag tumblers to have a try with. I've got my breeders in boxes and a little shed, the kit boxes are empty at the moment.
