I've never tried squirrel, seeing the ferrets not particularly keen on them put me off trying it. I've seen 4 reds this week though so something must be enjoying the grey b*****ds ? -

Yes I suppose the straw is just used to make the shape. right I might give this a go today and let you know Good luck, I can't see why it wouldn't work tbh. If the straws somehow collapse and it doesn't work try shorter lengths like 2 or 3 inch long.

I'd give it a go in some damp sand if I was doing it, you could do a load at once then rather than one at a time with a mould. The straw is only to form the shape in the sand. There's a special type of sand used for moulding too I think? Got to be worth a try for free?

Straws buried into sand would work too I'd imagine if you were just after making lead rods?

When we were kids we used to go digging in the sand under the swings on the rec for the money all the older pissed/stoned kids had dropped at night time and found plenty of cash

There was lurcher fieldcraft after purdeys progress samba, other than that I couldn't help you but I don't think I've ever heard anyone say their dog has got purdeys blood in it when they have a sleight bred dog?

The lamper had one called tarn I think. I would say a 3/4 collie would be more agile than that was going off the DVD I saw.

We've had a pet tramp kipping in a shed at work for years up until recently when the estate evicted him. Before that he was in an old open ended building in a wood on the concrete floor and he's been out through some bad weather. I hope he moves on though because I don't want to be the one who's found him frozen.

Mate of mine got hit by his big heavy dog one night we were out after a rabbit and it threw him up in the air, his legs were black for weeks Another lad tried to stop a rabbit my old dog was running with his foot and the dog smacked straight into him, he might of only been 22" but he was about 22 kilo and could shift so he must have hit him with some force.
