  1. The Vulcan works fine, but it’s snappy to shoot. I have a few shots with it now and again for nostalgia, then put it away again for a long rest...I still remember the first rabbit that I shot with it. My friend stealthily creeped up on it,battling through brambles and undergrowth with a fourten shotgun. Just as he was getting into position for a shot, I shot it with the Vulcan from the same spot that he’d left me in to creep up on it.
  2. One of my all time favourites, the fwb sport. That and the bsf b55/s70. I had a venom b55 with a lovely tyrolean stock. The mechanics of the gun had been subjected to a hard time though,by the time it reached my sweaty palms. Still wish I still had it though. The closest I could get to it today is my tuned custom stocked hw99s. That’s how much is miss the bsf, I’ve tried to replicate it with the 99.
  3. That’s a nice bit ‘o’ wood fella. Edwood Woodwood wood have been proud of that I’m sure.
  4. Nice one Mark. How does it compare to the tx200? Also, are these modern .177’s any smoother than a .22 sport? ,as I’ve never shot a modern .177 springer. Still got my .177 Vulcan bought new in 1979 for the grand sum of £46. That gun is far from smooth to shoot though. Shooting it now, I don’t know how I ever managed to hit anything with it back then,lol...
  5. That’s a great picture Nathan. What bore is the double?
  6. Does anyone know if the ratworks cylinder has a larger capacity/higher shot count like the a&m, or is it the same capacity as a standard cylinder but lighter in weight. I’m thinking that the ratworks cylinder is the same outside diameter as the original standard cylinder, whereas the a&m is larger?
  7. Thanks for that, after shooting my uncles HW100 the other week, I can say I was well impressed. Might have to get myself one. Therefore, I’d be interested in an a& m cylinder. Adrian has done some rimfire work for me before. Seen him at work and he’s also a good bloke.
  8. Aren’t the a&m’s cylinders advertised with a ten year life? What happens after ten years, are they unsafe to use after that?
  9. Amusing banter gents. Hard luck with the poor shooting Si.
  10. Good shot, well done fella.
  11. Well done Nathan. I shoot more corvids than anything else with my hmr, but I still would prefer the wmr over hmr.
  12. Well done Jarvis. Good result with your new set up fella.
  13. Well done Nathan. A good session with the .22 mag
  14. I’ve never used a moderated 12, but I have them in .410 and 20. With the exception of eley fourlongs and cheddite silencia cartridges, the Hull 23gram subsonic 20’s are about the same noise as most .410 cartridges I’ve tried in the modded .410. The 20 hushpower certainly hits a lot harder than the .410, but it depends what you need it for. I’m thinking about getting one of the hushpower Yildiz.410’s. They’re supposed to be really quiet with subsonic cartridges.
  15. At last, got my new gun to sort out those pesky thrushes.
  16. Same reason my mrs keeps me,lol....
  17. Well done. That’s a good bag fella.
