  1. Great ‘stuff’ Nathan. What’s the weight/calibre of the ball and what sort of velocity and energy does it produce on the reduced load? Sorry to be a pain asking, but I’m interested.
  2. Feinwerkbau sports have always been one of my favourite spring powered air rifles. I’ve got to admit to not having fired a single shot with any of my spring or gas ram guns this year, with the exception of my Webley Senior .22 pistol. I must hang my head in shame...................?
  3. Good shooting,well done.
  4. You can’t beat a good banging session in the woods. Good shooting.
  5. Winchester’s hit hard but rws are quieter and have the edge on accuracy in my guns.
  6. My thoughts exactly regarding the rws subs. I used to prefer the Eleys, but I’m sticking with rws in the main for now.
  7. I’ve used stingers but never found them very accurate at anything other than short range. I’ve shot rats and squirrels under feeders and they work well when they connect. I also used the Winchester xpediters. They’re very similar to stingers, the early ones were 29 grain and faster than stingers, later ones were 32 grain with the same specs as stingers. They also had the longer silver case like a stinger, but they had a crimp half way down the case.
  8. The 99s can’t be beaten for the money. Well made, nice to shoot, light weight. Tuned they’re even better. I even bought a custom stock for mine, I like it that much more now as it’s a joy to handle as well as to shoot.
  9. A friend of mine had trouble with his hw110. The first five shots would be down on power. He sent it back and it was returned only for the same fault to occur soon afterwards. He took it back again and refused a repair. They exchanged it for a hw100 and he’s had no trouble with that. He says that he wouldn’t have another hw110 and he says that he’s heard of other hw110’s with the same fault.
  10. Yes, brilliant in my Anschutz 14”. Very quiet and around half the energy of standard subs. 29 grain bullet @ 850fps. The best reduced velocity.22’s I’ve used and I’ve tried a good few over the years. As always, it depends if your rifle likes them though.
  11. Thumbs down from me....a retrograde step imo.
  12. Yes, it’s a bit nippley again. At least you’ve got rabbit stew to warm you up.
  13. Good shooting. When I used to shoot .177 many years ago before pre charged days, I used eley match flat heads and found them to work well. They tended to flatten on impact rather than penetrate too much. I shot a lot of squirrels with those pellets.
  14. Good job indeed. Well done fellas.
  15. That’s good shooting in the wind at that distance with an air gun. Well done fella.
