  1. That’s interesting, trouble is, I make that 46.51 ft lb. A good bit more than I’m looking for really. I want to be shooting crows/rooks off tree tops so I wouldn’t be happy shooting 25 grains at 46 ft lbs into the air. 12 ft lb isn’t enough from cover to the spinney. CB longs aren’t accurate enough and Z Lang’s at 29 grains and 47 ft lb carry too much energy for comfort although they’re accurate enough. I do have a huge backdrop, but those little bullets carry a long way so I was thinking, the knock down power of a lighter .25 pellet would be ideal. I know they hit harder than .22 pellets due
  2. Great, thanks for that. Thought it might be a winning combination. I’m afraid my wallet is shaking in fear?, just recently bought an HW100. I can see variation time coming though ?.
  3. Thanks for that. I’d be looking at light .25 at around 20 grains running at about 35 ft lbs I reckon. Would be good for me I think? ? I suspect that the impact would work well at that sort of setting then?
  4. A wider range than I thought. Is that in .25 cal?
  5. I deburred and polished the internals and fitted a tin bum kit. Lovely and smooth now, virtually no recoil @ 11.8 ft lb. To be honest, it was pretty good out of the box. Mine is .22 by the way. I personally wouldn’t buy one in .177 as it would be difficult to get it to shoot as nicely as a .22 version. Nice little rifle though, and for the money, hard to beat in my opinion ?
  6. What’s the power adjustment on the impact Pav? Min-Max range would be interesting to know. I like the idea of the impact, but I don’t need something running heavy pellets at 50ft lb. I can cover that with rimfire. Cheers?
  7. Excellent choice, you won’t be disappointed ?. To me, mine was worth every penny?
  8. Great stuff Nathan. I’m thinking about maybe getting a Yildiz ? hushpower as a replacement ??for my old battered chimbo.
  9. I agree about eley fourlongs and two inch “fourten” . Fourlongs are very quiet but velocity is slow and they don’t have much range. The two inch fourtens, well I can’t understand why they’re only available in #6 shot. At 9 grams the pattern is poor, if they were available in #9 shot, they’d be great for rats close up.
  10. Good little tool then Nathan ?
  11. Well done. I knew you wouldn’t shelve the 12ft lbs for too long.?
  12. Cracking stuff again Nathan. Good shooting ?
  13. The thumb hole stocks on the anschutz’ are made by custom stock of Sheffield for ruag. ?
  14. I have one, nice and lightweight, great trigger and very accurate. I can’t think of any other production.22 that I’d prefer.?
  15. If anyone’s used one in .25 I’d be interested in how they perform ?
  16. 19 quid for a hare? I wish I could get that, usually can’t give ‘em away?
