  1. I’ll do a comparison when I get time. To be honest, these are 20 yard rat and feral guns really. I used to use a BSA Supersport.25 for shooting ferals in factory units. It only really worked well with the rhinos because of the tight bore. Most shots were 10-15 yards at most, the .25 was ideal for this, dropped them really well.
  2. Well, I don’t know if anybody’s interested in this, but I thought I’d have a look at the residual energy of a variety of .25 pellets starting out with a muzzle energy of less than 12ft lbs. I weighed five of each brand and took an average weight. Then I took five shots with each brand at three feet from the muzzle. I set the chrono up at twenty five yards and did the same again, taking an average velocity from the five shots with each brand. I noticed that both H&N baracuda and RWS Superdomes gave the same muzzle velocity. Both weighed in at 31 grains, the residual energy at twenty five ya
  3. Well done bn, I’ve found the jsb’s slightly more accurate than biz mags in my HW100. Also, the jsb heavy 10 point something grain are spot on in mine.?
  4. Then after a while, you can sell it to me ?? .................please Phil?
  5. Got a better idea, just sell the bsf to me instead Phil? please.........?
  6. Up until the 1980’s you can bet that more foxes were shot with .22 rimfires than anything else in Britain ?. I remember shooting one as it yawned, bullet went in it’s mouth and out the top of its head. Dare not say the range, but it was a fair distance.
  7. Before using wire wool, try rubbing a copper penny over the oiled rust spots. The penny will remove the rust without damaging the blueing. Just lightly rub the coin over the oiled rust using just one finger on the coin.
  8. Depends how quickly you need it. I’ll bet the first batch go to the states....??
  9. Wondered where you’d been fella?
  10. The penetration of .25 superdomes astounded me at sub 12ft lbs. like you say Mark, trajectory is the rub, they certainly hit hard though.
  11. Too right I do. When I take it out and put something in the bag I’ll put a picture up?
  12. Aarh, ya’ keep shuvin’ that bloody hw under my nose. Rub it in why don’t ya ‘?, while ya’ know mines wrapped away in cotton wool?. Got my hw60 .22 hornet out this morning, then decided that I didn’t have time to shoot, so I put it back in the cabinet. Went down the track only to see a vixen sat looking at me. Bloody typical ?. Good shooting by by the way bn?
  13. Well done robo, what ft lbs do the 97’s run at in NZ? Am I right in thinking that spring guns aren’t limited but all pre charged are on ticket??
  14. Yes, it’s a good choice. I’m torn between them? but which is better? Only one way to find out.............?fight.
  15. I bought one in .177, excellent tool it is too. Only trouble with mine, if you call it trouble, it’s got a lovely walnut stock that I’m bothered about marking. It looks nice, but I’m loving the green synthetic like yours. A friend has one like yours and it gets used all weathers, no worries about knocking it.?
  16. Good shooting bn, what calibre is your hw fella?
  17. Looks like he’s been in a scrape before Ian. Could’ve been hit by a car at some time and taken to the rescue centre. Nursed and released maybe?
