  1. Good shooting Mark. I like spring/gas ram guns and I like pcp’s, but which is better? Only one way to find out....???? A bike race....I couldn’t find a picture of a fight?
  2. Yes, sk’s ive found to be very good also.
  3. Out of what’s available at the moment, cci stingers will be the fastest, but you’ll be lucky if they’re accurate in your rifle. The only rifle I’ve known them to be particularly accurate in was a bsa sportsman. Winchester xpediters were fast and accurate for me, but not available now to my knowledge. I find rws high velocity hp’s to be very accurate, also eley high velocity hp. Federal classic and fiocchi high velocity hp’s also I’ve found to be amongst the best, mini mags and velocitors not quite as accurate. It’s a matter of trial and error. See if they suit your rifle.?
  4. Anschutz XIV is the best sporting .22 I’ve had/used. Fantastic little rifle that I wouldn’t swap. As for hmr, it depends what you need, but for me, I’d have the .22 any day over the hmr. You can run them from 20ft lbs up to nearly 200 ft lbs depending on cartridge. Hmr is a one trick pony compared to .22 rf. as I said though, it depends what want/need. Just my opinion, others may disagree.
  5. Good shooting Mark. The hw100 can feel like cheating, but it’s not. You’ve still got to do your bit...?
  6. Indeed they are Gav. I use .22 probably 20 times more than .17hmr. I use .22 hornet more than .17hmr also, with the price of hmr ammo being almost as much as ppu.22 hornet, and with the option to reload its leaving hmr in the cabinet. I can use rws high velocity .22 out to 100 yards as they’re very accurate in my Anschutz.
  7. Put us a picture up webbo, let’s ‘ave an ogle at it fella....?
  8. They are tough guns that can take a good amount of hard use. As a used semi, I’d say they’re as safe a bet as any. You should be able to see signs of heavy use as they acquire a patina, even then, if well maintained, they should still keep working. For £600 though, you should be able to pick a good one up.
  9. The mini mags are still shifting some at 40 yards, I use them myself, I find the rws high velocity hp’s can cause a lot of damage, probably more so than mini mags. Used to get a lot of that with Winchester xpediters, they were explosive for a .22 rimfire bullet. Made a mess of some squirrels and rabbits with them.
  10. Made in W Germany, before the wall came down. It is a classic air rifle, nice one.?
  11. Is it a tuned gat gun with a custom rifle stock?
  12. Are these the bullets you are using? Has anyone tried the same recipe with 40grain blitzkings?
  13. Still a fair tally, well done.?
  14. Mine doesn’t like H&N’s ftt, which surprised me as they’re usually good in most guns I’ve tried them in. They were fair at 35 yards, but started to open up beyond that range. Bisley superfield are good in mine though. The jsb’s though, absolutely bang on.?
  15. Some of these laws make so little sense, you couldn’t make it up.?
  16. I recently bought an hw100ks .177 and with jsb exact 4.52, which may be the same pellet as aa field? It’s spot on. Plinking bottle tops at 50 yards is so easy.
  17. A primer? Even a live round doesn’t pose much danger on its own, without a gun to fire it from. You could throw it at someone I suppose.....
