  3. Get your self down to your local sheet metal workers, tool room, coach works etc. All you need is a band saw, be cheaper than posting it.

  9. If you can source good fish, regular and are prepared to do specials then you're on to a winner in the right place. By specials I mean something different and seasonal. Hake, Rock eel (Dog fish), White Bait (one of mine and my sons fav), etc. There are many overlooked fish that are nice if fresh and cooked properly. If you managed to get a shop in the right area the you could do things a bit more pricey, Monk fish, Sole, Halibut, there are loads of ways of making the great British favourite make you money.   13. Can be a little difficult there due to the amount of catch and release they allow. It'll all be worth while when you catch, it is by far the nicest way to catch a fish, not all ways the most productive, but the nicest.
  14. Where did you go? The fishing has been poor at the mo, low oxygen levels in a lot of places.

  17. Wanted to be an Architect, pleased that I didn't. Had a very full life with many jobs including, tool making 5 years, Acid House parties, shop fitting on and off, landscape gardening on and off, travelled the world, tree surgery, various building jobs, caretaker 7 years, now I'm involved fishing and have been for the last 14 years. I now wake up and I'm at work... sorted. Got no regrets I'm afraid.
  18. There are much better options if you want a freezer filler. You will need a good fence, nifty feet and hands like a goal keeper.

  21. I was selling Pike over 30 years ago for £1/lb to my Fathers friend who had a fish mongers off Curzon street (Minch & Co). They wanted fish 4lb-8lb I think the Jews were eating them. I love my food and I definitely ain't skint .
  22. Grayling arent bad,but not as good as chalk stream brownies. You only eat stocked chalk stream Brownies .
