  1. How did the bitch/dog do, or what did it do? Looks nice enough. Has it just had pups or is that an optical hallucination? It's just a steady little terrier in need of a good home. Showed enough promise. And yes she's had pups it would seem. I wish you all the best with it geeze

  3. Thought you were tea total mush?
  4. And there was me thinking someone was still using old motorbike batteries for lamping .
  5. Nice dogs people. Problem is with terriers they are physically able to follow their quarry to ground. If you can call them out all well and good. The problem lies when a dog digs to get at its quarry and digs its self in. With no spade or collar, you may end up loosing your dog, which is a distressing situation for man and dog. I don't care if the dog isn't from digging dogs or hasn't been entered, it can happen. Especially if the dog gives 100% and shows any amount of gameness. I have a terrier spaniel x that has had a liking for going to ground. I have had various incidents where I hav
  6. You need plenty of them, flat stair wells , car parks or office blocks etc. I always used to alternate flights, say three steps at a time then single steps and if the stair case went clockwise, I'd spin anti clock wise at every revolution to combat dizziness and to use the muscles on the other side of my body. Pump your arms hard, as much as your legs. I last did it in a 11 storey block with 2 flights of stairs per floor. I used to run to the top, jog down and do 50 varied sit ups. I used to do 3 sets then I'd be blowing my lungs out like bubble gum. That, the bag, 3 varied width sets of 15 pu
  7. Thing is bar bells aren't convenient (in fact I didn't own one) or they're not with you all the time and you can't say they don't do anything, they're difficult. I have never joined a gym, went a fair few times, couldn't get my head round the body building thing or some of the people there. My brother was proper into it and was married to Britians strongest women for a couple of years .

  9. I am ok ...well sort of ok. I weren't saying get rid of your dog, I was stating imo (in my opinion). And if you haven't heard such "utter bollocks" you ain't reading much on here . Sorry I disappointed you mate, I'll try and be a little less opinionated in the future. Maybe that's why I have loads of dogs . Atb mun.
  10. How cold is that water? I like the way you stopped it from going up to the road. Was that luck or training?
  11. Crumbs, do you have a link, next to nothing eats these in the field except maggots, and many years back I carefully selected and cooked some choice cuts to try myself, once was more than enough! Now the cold has come the foxes eat them round here.
  12. Look like a snagging nightmare. I'd like to keep one of mine warm, but not at the risk of those. You need to find a more suitable dog or take it out when the weather is suitable or where there is no cover, imo.
  13. Sets of 10 for me. Best to bend the knees. Haven't done them for a few years due to shoulder op. I have only ever used my body weight, that, sprinting up flights of stairs, the bag and walking the dogs.
  14. If it has to be instant Gold Blend. Usually make a cup of real stuff and most of them are better than instant.
  15. Bit late at 17 months. But start his recall in an enclosed area, then in the open on a long leash. Do you walk him with other dogs?
  16. This. And don't make a big deal about anything. Let the pup learn everything is normal. Never pander to your dogs fear and praise to encourage you dog forward. All positive encouragement, ignore negative behaviour and make walks. "everything is normal."
  17. Or bring it here £30/day, £20/day over 3 weeks, I have it walking to heal in a crowd, retrieving shot game from the water and rolling cigarettes.
  18. Socialise, socialise, socialise and life experiences (lots of them). Get it down the town centre as often as you can. Shops, train stations, bus stops full of people are very good. Give it sensory over load. All my dogs are super steady, even the very bitey ones .
  19. To catch more you need more dogs. Nothing runs as fast as a rabbit in cover. Small dogs do face less resistance in cover, but they got to have the desire to catch that rabbit and give 100%. I think the ground you hunt also has an impact on the numbers you catch, no matter what dogs you use. How you doing Rob, ya cool?
