  1. For what I do now matey just mooching about kicking up bunnies and ratching on the fells for them I don't think I'd ever own another lurcher without desert dawg blood in it..I like my ugly mutt out of Razor and hopefully this jukel will prove to be at the least his equal..just half decent does me so don't have to be a world beater in fact I'd not do a top class dog the justice nowadays,it would be wasted on me..I'm just a has been & a part timer these days Well for a has been you put the miles in and get them out seeing stuff, that and a good bit of grub is all they need at mate
  2. Looks a strong healthy pup Fuji, and swimming already ,nowt fazes him by the looks of things, I thought them Saluki are afraid if everything except running round in circles after hares Never thought I'd see it with a Saluki cross Andy
  3. It's usually the the poster has deleted them from where they was hosted ,photo bucket etc
  4. Fox pack ..martinhalli do you ever find the terrier/beagle crosses sink to ground When on hot scent? I had a patterdale/cockers that would sink if it chased in
  5. They will probably remember that day for the rest of their lives, and still picture every rabbit caught Good on you too Darcy for the gesture But good on a man making a move to better his family's life ,wish I'd have made the move .
  6. Be sure they have enough current to power what you want .I bought one and it wouldn't power my striker , Some are only made for alarm panels etc so aren't man enough ,may be OK for a led type lamp
  7. If it's you permission , tell your mate he can bring one dog at a time,if that's what you want. A pup should really only get easy slips anyway,so may not take that many runs away from either dog and maybe just 4 or 5 slips will be OK then put it back in the car and do your usual thing
  8. I remember you struggling to pick dodge And struggling to bond, I think I done the same bosun lol When I had my litter , Kps....as said if there's one you don't want anyone else to have, keep it lol
  9. I found it hard picking when I had a litter TBH,in the end I picked the one with the average temperament, not too laid back ,not too boisterous. But unless you've bred from a line for a few generations there's no way of really knowing what they end up like. Let the family pick, they all look smashing
  10. That pup has come on no end amazing how they change from stocky little pups
  11. Rendered blocks and galvanized panels can't go far wrong with them then just raise a plywood bed off the floor a couple of feet to stop any draught .
  12. Looks fantastic BTW built to run, Some cracking mutts and cracking scenery
  13. Is the white one one of yours dodger Find a needle in a haystack that thing I like it..
  14. I've been out with 2 dogs out of the same litter, and they are like chalk and cheese,so to say what's good (or not) just by what breeds are in there is daft. If 2 out of the same litter are so different how can you say that a particular cross will be a specialist in anything when the odds of every pup being the same are so massive. Just pick out of good parents doing what you want educate them ,and hope for the best
  15. Jae Who bred it ,yourself? Looks in good order pal
  16. Unless I was doing quite a bit off road, And very little on ,I'd personally go for an all terrain ,the drone off some m/ts can wear a bit thin if you are doing 300 mile on the motorway. My old truck went from a steady 30 mpg down to the high teens. Great if you really need them but a pain if you don't . They also churn the fields up quite a bit if you do spin the tyres
  17. If I had a pure breed none running dog It's probably a breed I'd go for, especially if I could find the rough arsed type that work the land in oz. But I get the feeling ,having looked on the net most that are over here are show lines ,the stumpy tailed cattle dog looks a slightly racier (tailless) but similar sort
  18. Nice country and great little pack , They do well to hunt woods like that A lot of ground to cover
  19. Me personally, was never happy, always critical to a fault. But it's a road to nowhere as the more they do the more critical you get. These days I'll work them to their strengths. These days if a dog does most stuff at a fair standard I'm more than happy. Sometimes if you step back, and just enjoy you'll see them in a different light and maybe better than you think.
