Skot Ruthless Teale replied to pmatty77's topic in General Airgun Discussion
my house is just around the corner from my permissions first field. but my neighbours are tossers so if im going out i stick it in the bag.. although one night i went lamping and took it with out the bag,, i felt quite weird and scrared in a way thinking.. friggin hell if somebody sees me walking up the street with a gun im guna get f**ked! even though it was about 3am lol.. better safe than sorry tho these days only takes one retard or scared woman or animal rights activist to think.. oh they got a gun im going to ring police.. i would love to be able to walk around the streets blowing -

Hw 95 Pellet testing 25 and 50 Yards
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to HW 96.5's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
think elliots is a 77  lol my old 97 syn .177 was sweet as a nut after about 3000 pelllets straight from factory at 11.1ft lbs should have kept it! lol getting another .177 97k and going to put my wooden thumbhole stock on my .22 on it and then put the sporter stock on the .22 97 i have now. then il be sorted did you seee my thread ''first outing in a while hw95k'' a few days ago.. theres a 28 yard grouping on there that i was really happy with . take a look if you get chance -
if your using something like a cheap gamo with crap pellets you wont hit a barndoor at 25 yards mate. tell us what scope and rifle and pellets you are using and we might be able to help more

whats the difference between 117 and 22?
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to shadow_sniper's topic in General Airgun Discussion
as has been said shot placement is the most important factor. hit the brain and jobs a good'un this is easier with .177 due to the flatter trajectory but if you know your holdover/under aimpoints at different ranges .22 is still a great calibre. i prefer .177 personally after 10 months shooting .177 to the 15 ish years i only shot with .22... im a convert! also .177 pellets are cheaper LOL -
ring around a few gunsmiths and ask them mate

Hw 95 Pellet testing 25 and 50 Yards
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to HW 96.5's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
is the rifle tuned or just standard mate? aye practice practice practice.. think im getting rusty of late best get back on the hunt for small groupings that i like to shoot lol. dont taste as nice as rabbit tho lol -
great stuff again Si mate another thumbs up from me just ordered another 97 in .177 so il have both calibres to choose from also if i can add, i personally have always carried my rifles muzzle up on a sling, if its raining remember to flip your obj.lens scope cap closed tho lol but if its in the slip/bag i like to carry it muzzle down just feels more comfy for me personally. obviously anytime the rifle is in the slip it is 100% double checked UNLOADED. not getting arrested just for sake of having to cross a road or something and not being bothered to unload fully (not just decoc

Need help getting permission!
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to ian118118's topic in General Airgun Discussion
aye it can be hard for us young uns --im 25 but look like a chavvy teen -- best thing you can do is sound like you know what your on about and tell them safety is your top priority when shooting. your doing them a favour sorting out vermin for nothing just be respectfull. tell them you wont cause as much damage as the vermin are I.E. you wont break walls and fences down by climbing them etc. also get some shooting insurance aswell good luck mate dont give up looking you will get there in the end -
Webley Stingray
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to ferret_uk's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
with that money you could probably find a good deal on a used hw97 77 95 or a tx200 with scope. and probably a lot of other top quality rifles. i dont know anything about the stingray im sure there decent guns but those i mentioned above are top quality -
Hw 95 Pellet testing 25 and 50 Yards
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to HW 96.5's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
that last group was very good for a springer at 50 yards well shot mate. gun looks great aswell -
k so at the min i have a 95k standard stock, and my .22 hw97kt wood thumbhole that i was using at the meet. but im going to get a standard wood sporter .177 hw97k and then swap the stocks over so i have a .177 thumbhole and a .22 sporter coz i prefer the thumbhole stock by miles, and i prefer .177 to .22. may even end up selling the .22 a few months down the line, really not getting on with it! coz im a girl lol and i cant handle a 'mans' calibre haha

Spring air rifle shooting.
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to pianoman's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I love my 95 but the 97kt just edges it.. suppose if i had a 98 stock for it it would be a beter fit and take top spot over the 97... -
at the min i have 2 panoramas the AO IR 4-12 models in 40 and 50mm.. both great and i have a gun for each. but im thinking of another gun so need another scope... i had a mamba 4-16x50 and it was great but i dont really NEED IR and a 25mm tube would be better , the lamp i have now would go straight on no hassle.. the mounts i got with the mamba were fine. i think il get a mamba lite then for my new gun when i get it. so if its a 44mm objective will it go well in a medium sportsmatch mount on a springer or will i need a high mount so it clears the action..?

put up a massive plain white target like an a4/a3 paper.. stand close fire at the centre. if the pellet goes low and left click the turrets a few times maybe half a turn at a time untill the pellet goes close to where you were aiming. then move back a few yards and do the same again. then further a bit more etc until you have it very close at your preffered range. then you can put a new target up and take 5-10 shots at the same target and if they all go up and right slightly for example, click it a few clicks at a time untill you get a really fine zero. if its .22 best to zero at roughly

thats exactly what it is, an OK gun... close to medium range say 35-40 yards max it will be fine. cant guarantee a decent amount of accuracy at ranges further than that tho.. unless your a really good shot

Skot Ruthless Teale replied to Skot Ruthless Teale's topic in Airgun Hunting
Only managed 8 cans before i fell asleep lol. good laugh is camping. -
Eyup! took the hw95k camping with me last night on the permission so i could zero it now i have the 40mm panorama back on her. got there about 3.30pm started to zero got it pretty close then we went for a wander up to the shop to get supplies. top group about 11 shots in the blue and the one off to the left was a wobble. then the bottom group i put 4 shots into that jagged hole and then one just off to the left again with shot number 5 been a wobble. im really impressed with the accuracy of this little beauty rifle! even though its at 28 yards for these groupings. on the way back i spotte
