  1. Now then lads, Ayup Heres a few pics and the story of todays plinking session using my HW97KT after my last outing with the hw95k i thought i would compare my hw97kt with a pretty fair test. now the last time i used my 97 i was using daystate Li pellets and it was not getting on with them at all. when i chronoed these there was 40 fps varition! the rifle has had about 600 pellets through her from brand new, including todays session. the Lis were also inconsistent in my hw95k, possibly a dodgy batch? so i got set up put my usual targets up at my usual 35 yards range and sat down
  2. Ive got a 4-16x44 mamba lite on my 97kt. For shooting paper targets at 35 yds 9x is ok but with my crap eyesight instead of having to walk to the target i can just zoom to 16x to see the pellet holes
  3. Get out and try some new land mate. and if this guy wont let you back on ask him if he knows any other landowners he cpuld reccomend you. Dont give up tho pal. All the best of luck Ta, SKoT
  4. Nice vid davy top guy. you love it in your man cave dont ya! Quite jelous i dont have a man cave. actually i dont even own a drill. best i can do is spanners and screwdrivers lmao
  5. Well in mate sounds like you had fun splashing in the puddles good job you didnt drop that 97kt in the dyke tho! Love shooting sqwizzys, especially when they hide and they think their safe.. BOOM HAHA
  6. I used too much napier lube and gun dieselled bad every shot. then after changing to a brand new ti of unwashed/lubed pellets after approx 4-5 shot there would be no dieselling. then back to lubed pellets and dieseling like mad. Same again unlubed, 6 shots later no dieseling. So it seems apparent that a bit of the lube was staying in the barrel to cause dieseling for a few shots after changing to unlubed pellets. So little is definately more when it comes to lubing your pellets. Hope this helps someone. Cheers, SKoT
  7. Stock looks good on't 77 daz. Prefer it to the older ones. Hows it shooting?
  8. Obviously how comfortable with the fit of the rifle makes a huge difference to your accuracy for examle you will wobble more if your uncomfy. Thumbholes are like marmite lol you either love or hate them lol.
  9. come to think of it, i shot a 5 shot group like this the other week with my hw 95k .177 using jsb exact. the 5th shot was a wobble just about a centimeter to the left, but the first 4 shots went in the same jagged hole, at 29 yards. i put it on another thread duno who seen it, but i deleted the pics from photobucket so now it wont show up lol. also after chronoing my 95 the other day the jsb's were also very consistent even unwashed at 13fps spread i think over 20 shots. so yeah im with bigmac on this one,-- Jsb Exact = very good pellets
  10. Daystate Li... pffft lol. cant beat jsb exact, although every individual rifle/barrel will prefer different pellets
  11. just chronoed m,y .177 95k and the daystate Lis gave 28fps variation over 20 shots straight from the tin unweighed unwashed unlubed.. the jsb exact were only 12fps over 20 shots straight from the tin unweighed unwashed unlubed... nuff said?! maybe thats why my .177 97kt hated them Li's lol, still need to try her with the jsb.
  12. Si pianoman.. no rush mate aye have a think. take as much time as you need. Shes a beauty si pittabread.. .. Its not that im not getting on with it, far from it, its a beauty.. but i dont give it enough use and im sure pianoman or his lady would use it more.. it would be going to a betfer home so to speak lol. Im thinking of getting rid of the ,22 97k aswell and just concentrating on having 1 rifle.. the .177 97kt , and possibly sending it to tony . it was a toss up between the 97kt and the 95k i love them both to bits but the 97kt i prefer the feel.. the 95 is a bit light for me a
  13. now then pianoman mate i have just watched the video of you lot at the hft. if your looking for an as new hw95k .177 then i might be willing to sell, mine.. give me a pm if your interested mate. its got a panorama ev ao ir 4-12x 40 with the half mildot ret. its just sat there in the corner doing very little along with my 97's lol. cracking little gun but i dont really need 3 lol
  14. Wish i had that many pigeons to go at! ...
  15. When changing to different pellets i clean barrel. and i have 3 rifles. 2 patches for ,177 and 3 for .22 like it says. As for fishing line got loads of that lol but its hard to get through the barrel in the first place hence why i got the napier kit.
  16. so was this 87 yarder standing with the prosport?! if it was then... foooook me! great shooting matey
  17. so after cleaning my rifles a few times its looking pretty bad. i used all the patches it comes with, and another full pack- 100 i think. like i said only cleaned the guns a few times with it. and its all frayed and the rubber connector bit is all nackered aswell, dont know how much longer its going to last. for £20+ i expected it to last a bit longer... how does everybody else get on with theirs???
  18. lmao! nice one Si if i was the farmer guy i wouldnt be able to act so calm id be crying with laughter at how gullible she is!
  19. good little reliable guns for medium range hunting. had a few over the years. shot my first ever woodpigeon with one, and its not often i get to shoot woodys so thats saying something lol
  20. napier power pull through kit. about £20 dont spray oil in the barrel though!
