  1. Pellet testing is a right chore lol and yep its expensive. need to get some free time and decent weather to get the 97 out. last i remember tho the zero was shifting around allover the bloody shops. it would be ok for 10-15 shots and then jump an inch or 2 in a random direction. any ideas why??? Its an mtc mamba lite and sportsmatch one piece mount so not exactly cheap shnit. Edit.. i was holding the rifle pretty much exactly the same position eye relief etc for every shot so that rules out me holding it wrong. and like i said mounts and scope arent cheap crap so that rules that out. also
  2. Look online for spare parts.. or if that fails contact your local gunshop
  3. Like i said my .177 97 hates the rangemaster Li but they were pretty good in my .22 97
  4. hw95 gets my vote also, with a nice small 40mm scope. low mag aswell for rats so 3-9x40 is perfect .
  5. thats what i had earlier this year it was a beauty aswell very consistent nice and smooth and really accurate. really dont know why i got rid, i wanted the beech thumbhole instead lol. which is just as good and looks better in wood imo. i had a thing for black guns lol but now wood is where its at lol
  6. even say 3 hours after it gets dark,.. or 4 hours or 5?? what about using an illuminated reticle, is that going too far?! lol
  7. liverpool.. promise them you wont steal their car if they let you shoot on their land  but i think knocking on the door and asking face to face is better than writing a letter good luck bud
  8. is that the pcp one, heard good things about these for a budget rifle... much like the s200 compared to say a rapid or hw100, will still be upto the job but you just dont get bells and whistles lol
  9. but yeah if there woodys they will be roosting in woodland and you cant lamp them. silhouette shooting on the otherhand.. is that illegal??
  10. i was going to say use a dull beam (but you already done that) and you wont get as many fliers. maybe wait an extra hour or 2 next time before you go. could be a case of they are there all day then go someplace else to roost/nest at night.. like under a motorway bridge or something..
  11. aye i normally let my rifle dry itself over night and then give it a wipe down with an oily rag or silicone cloth in the morning when its back to room temperature
  12. now then! my 97kt beech .177 HATES daystate rangemaster li. thats all ive tried through it so far tho lol got some jsb exact for next time i take it out. only had about 3-400 through it so its still near enough brand new. after a strip semi-polish and relube (same as i did with the .22, that was mega-twangy) this bad boy feels great to shoot recoil isnt too bad and it makes a nice thud instead of the boioioioioinggggg that the .22 makes... as milegajo said to me at the meet referring to my .22 97-- "theres quite a lot of twang coming from that badboy" .. the .177 is a total different beast!
  13. just seen this.... lmfao! when you fire and the scope falls off hahaha quality!
  14. There both as good as eachother..its down to individual shooters preference. I dont like the TX and im on my 4th 97...
  15. I had one before either mk 1 or 2 and it was the most accurate rifle ive ever had.. just beating my aas410k hope hes stil got it in a few weeks i Wanted a s 410 or hw100t in .177 but for a good price this .22 s2/10 should be good
  16. Possibility of AA S200 .22 with 10 shot conv.. 2 mags 4x40 ir scope mounts and bag. Not sure if silencer is any good cant tell on pics. but could get a new one. and put a better scope on. Think is mk 1? Square 2 piece stock.. Fella wants £250 lets hear some oppinions.
  17. should be a good watch. your going to really have to know your trajectory and your aimpoints
  18. i have to agree with mawders. i also have a 40mm panarama on my hw95 (copied him lol) but a 50mm would be too big for the rifle.. so i have a 50mm panorama on one of my big chunky hw97k's and a mamba lite 4-16x44 on the other hw97kt i would highly reccomend any of these scopes. also had a mamba which was also a really good scope.
  19. cheers killzone lad, but its just a standard 95k nothing special.. although my 97kt is more comfortable to hold theres just this 'wow' factor when i get excellent results with the 95! thinking of getting rid of both my 97's to get a pcp deffo will keep the 95 tho
  20. will i sound silly if i goto gunshop and offer them 2 hw97s for a rapid?? ...... lol
  21. air arms diabolo field ARE the best pellets in most of the guns ive had ... its just there so bloody flimsy its hard to pick one up that is in perfect condition, always frigggin bent skirts on them
