  4. suppose. duno which gun to take 95 or 97.. if 95 had a thumbhole stock it would be amazing.. just didnt get on with it at all after handling the 97thumbhole
  5. Hi Skot, I've checked it out further Page 29 of The "National Rail Conditions Of Carriage" States that it is now at the descretion of each company (where it used to be okay under British Rail as long as it was unloaded) . So written permission would be required from each company we will be using if the guns are kept intact. Each company can charge a fee for the gun as well if they wish, so I think it's a good idea to seperate the action from the stock, this renders the gun technically inoperable and as such not a gun, but parts that can be carried without fear of complaint or penalty M
  6. you really are a top geezer simon. shame about the longranger, that would have been an amazing kill at that range from standing aswell.. you really are the man. over last few weeks iv been 'training' my mate and his first shot at a squirrel resulted in a great headshot about 40-50 ft up a tree from about 10 yards standing and he absolutely nailed it with my hw95k. showed him a few scopecam vids off youtube to show him how steady he has to be or will miss lol
  7. nice one pun intended  still better than 0
  8. everybody misses sometimes dont worry about it mate, they wont have suffered too long and im sure someones ferret or a fox will make the most of them when their found. nice results again, with your darksider
  9. i no what that is like skot how meny of the lads on here have had the cross hairs on the pray and just as you are going to squease the trigger and they move or run off it pi******s me off athvb mac last weekend i missed a 20 yards headshot with the hw95k on a woodpigeon, just bobbed its head as i pulled the trigger, fuki*g gutted i was.. woodpigeons have always eluded me.. so its extra nice IF i manage to shoot them lol
  10. I had a squirrel and a crow in my sights with the 97 yesterday on its first outing. the squirrel moved its head behind a branch before i could line it up..and the weary crow was off as soon as my eye met the sight picture. on the plus my mate took that squirrel not 5 seconds after i .i was looking at its body thinking how fat it was and then i heard the 95 go off and saw it drop
  11. if you dont fancy a 97 then you probably wont fancy a tx, both similar guns.. if you want a break barrel instead get a . if not go for the pro sport.
  12. went for a bit of a plink today. i didnt manage one but my mate whos came with me a couple of times today got his first ever kill with my hw95k.. a few seconds earlier to him taking the shot it was in my crosshairs but moved its head behind a branch just before i got a shot lined up. no kill for new 97kt lol but im happy for my mate
  13. nice one mate. glad you got something straight away with the new gun
  14. quick update. 97 is twangy as hell with jsb exact jumbo.., although makes a nice 'ching' noise with hobbys tho as i was chronoing. diesled for about 40-50 shots aswell seems fine now tho fingers crossed...put about 500 through her today then chronoed, pretty inconsistent and every 20-30 shots the poi was jumping about all over the bloody shop. going to try get another 500 through her tomoro, it just takes forever! i want it bedde in and consistent NOW lol
  15. this is my gun... hw97kt panorama 4-12x50 hw95k panorama 4-12x40 nothing special just 2 standard rifles.
  16. well just stripped the 95 down and re lubed. there was a big washer floating about inside her for no apparent reason, causing a realy bad grinding 2/3rds of the way into the cocking stroke just before the sears engaged. its gone now tho and she seems really smooth.. it didnt do that for the first -90 pellets but after that it kept getting worse everytime i cocked her. so after about 200 pellets in total, i thought it was time to strip her. all seems well now, didnt even try fit the piston sleeve, the spring was a nice snug fit into the piston, and the piston seal was perfect and a great fi
  17. I used to have a tracer max. great lamp. now have a tracer mini and can still see rabbits at further ranges than im going to be shooting my air rifle. Also had a clulite (cb1/2???) with the handle for dogs or scope mounted instead.the on/off switch was suited better for use with the handheld option but could still be used quite easily on a scopemount edit not sure about the 30mm scope bit with these lamps.
  18. So whats the plans for the full english then? Will it be the sunday morning before the hft? how much?? And when do we have to have our 'names down' so they have a rough idea of how many people are wanting one??
  19. Haha took me about 3 hours to do the 97! Lol might do the 95 tonight should take about 45mins if nothing gets in the way
  20. Decent quality starter rifles. Great for close range hunting. my mate used to get loads of rabbits with his down bankings and in the edge of fields about 20-25 yards. think it was doing about 7-9ft lbs
  21. Is it the one off that link..? I got one and in my hw97k i put it in but the spring wouldnt fit aswell.. hope it goes in the 95 .havent even fired the 97 yet and ive had it 2 weeks :/ hope it isnt twangy. 95 deffo is so the piston sleeve will be better in the 95 anyway.
