    not for me.. although using the laser rangefinder can leave marks on my glasses lens and then when i goto look down riflescope its all smudged and blurry. pain in the arse! apart from that no problem

    ive heard stories about magpies from crew A being in the territory of Crew B having chavlike gangwars... lol if i can nail one at permission 1 and take it to permission b and stick some wire into its head to use it as a decoy i should be ok.. going to don my ghille and keep well hidden.. but will crow decoys help or put them off? like i said i have 2 plastic crows and 1 plastic magpie.. i see them together all the time everywhere, same with crows and woodys they seem to not mind eachother..

    would only be able to feed them after work.. would probably be just getting dark.. so the morning after, first thing, would be best time to go shoot on my day off..?

    like plink or stink says... there not the most accurate.. dont take it for granted on any scope. suppose youy could wrap some masking tape over it and re-do it with your own CORRECT markings.

    i been thinking of making a squirrel feeder there very shy on my perm straigh into the holes in the trees before i get close! so are cornflakes a good 'bait' i dont want to be spending a small fortune on free food for these little tramps haha also the more i leave them undisturbed feeding daily will it pay off and build there confidence up? cheers SKoT

    hey guys was at work today and seen the owner of one of my old permissions from a few years ago. i asked her how the rabbits were doing and she said there all gone but she told me she has loads of magpies about.. was just thinking of best way to approach it.. its a few small fields with not much cover.. i was thinking get ghillied up and sit in a bush lol. i have one magpie decoy and 2 crows.. how would you guys tackle it? i could posssibly get a squirrel from my other permission to use as a 'bait' with the decoys. i have never used decoys before so any help or advice would be very app

    depending which brand and type you have you will probably need a drill screwdriver or allenkey.

    if it shoots under 12 Ft/Lbs you dont need a licence in the uk. better to be doing between 10.5 - 11.5 than 11.99.. different pellets will give different power aswell. both the hw97 and hw95 are cracking rifles i have one of each the weight isnt a problem for me but a sling is an easy option not too much messing around to fit. or you could have your local gunshop fit one for you

    dont worry about remembering names roger lol im worse than you and im still pretty young lol so i have no excuses we did a big photo at the end with most of us on so when darryl puts it up maybe we could all add our names??

    put a few targets up say every 5 yards . 20 25 30 35 40 45 and 50.. aim at the same target 10 times then go over to the target and put a 2p over it. if all the pellets are covered your ok at that range but if a few are outside the 2p your maximum range is a bit closer.. for example with my hw95 i can do this out to 45 yards but at 50 they start to spread out too much.. also practice practice practice! its only fair on the quarry to give it a pain free dispatch with no suffering or wounding. good luck mate

    i shot a magpie a few months ago any me and my mate thought we would try it. one breast each shallow fried in oil.. pretty nice actually then i said i wouldnt really eat them again, afterall there scratty horrible vermin just like crows.. then we were camping out a few weeks ago and i shot another so we cooked it in a traditional fashion.. aka rammed a stick through it and put it close to the fire.. also was quite nice and went with the squirrel i got pretty well overall tho i dont think il be eating anymore anytime soon lol
