  1. erm ok, that kinda made sense but kinda didnt.... lol best explaining it when the time comes lol
  2. did you put one of those ptfe piston liners in? still need to strip my 95 down
  3. easy as pie mate, and i have stripped one gun, lol. if i can do it anybody can
  4. nice results there bud when i had an s410k and a hw97k i couldnt choose between them, obviously the pcp had more benefits but the hw97 just kicks ars3 im onto my 3rd one lol. nothing wrong with shooting duck in my oppinion. i shot one at 35 yards right next to the eye and it just dropped clean.. glad there in season again i love a bit of doook a'la chips and gravy hope i see some on the permission soon, which is likely actually with all the recent rain making massive ponds and rivers on normally dry land!
  5. cool so you gota shoot 1 then 2 then 3 then 4 etc. then a 10mm bell. easy say u hit 1 then 2 but miss 3, do you keep trying to hit 3 or do you skip it and go for number 4?. actually im guessing its first person to hit 1-20 and then the bell that is the winner.. sounds fun
  6. At 45/50 yds 9 times mag is fine! Nice to have 12x or 16x when you want to see your holes on paper targets. but 9 is definately enough 3-9x40 really is all you NEED
  7. HA! Cocky old b@stard!! even though wind was in your face etc.. you think he would have seen the glint from your scope? Could be the only reason he knew of your presence...? Or maybe his survival instinct..hence his old age lol
  8. im with lewis on this one. i have owned both aas200 w/10 shot adapter 's210' , and the s410k classic ..both amazing air rifles. very accurate. and i have never taken more than 15 shots on one nights lamping session, depends how many rabbits are about i suppose.
  9. some serious gun collection there! 2 guns is enough for me lol
  10. thats cool.. never seen one like that just all same color , black, white, slightly ginger and the 'normal color' ones. great shot placement aswell
  11. to be fair mate there isnt one perfect gun for it.. especially not for < £200 a decent little bsa supersport/lightning or weihrauch 99 97 95 77 with a little 3-9x40 scope on would be a decent choice if you can find one for your £200 maybe saving another £100 then you will have £300 you might have more chance of getting a decent rifle+scope combo good luck mate
  12. hmmm 00:39 .. some peoples night, some peoples morning. so instead of "morning" or "evening" il just say hello
  13. haha nah mate i dont have fu*k all! few allen keys and spanners and screwdrivers thats it lol
  14. just remeber take your time and use a hairdryer/heatgun and im sure you will be fine.good luck pal
  15. aye makes sense. need to find a drill lol.. my mates got one of those hand drills that he robbered from D.T lessons at school  maybe a proper drill would be better tho?
  16. loooks ok that stuff, cheaper than a hydrographics dip! and same sort of effect.. or you could just throw a camo net over it lol.
  17. the hares were at 30odd yards , thats close/medium RANGE. and ive seen hares a lot bigger than these.. juust saying like. i have no doubt that these hares in this post DID NOT SUFFER
  18. since ive been using .177 i havent seen a rat, but i bet there would be no matrix style pellet dodging going down in my scope! as for .25, i dont think i will ever get one. never know tho. and yes pcps have a place, but i think i see them more as a tool for a job, whereas a springer is a lot more of a personal affair.. to be enjoyed more and to be mastered, conquered.
  19. thats actually mad! ive never heard of this until now.. im going to have to try it for myself next week and see what happens, when i went lamping i didnt bother checking my 25yds zero after i put the lamp on. il have to look into it further lol
  20. i cleaned everything off and used bisley gun grease and napier for the seal like the guy in one of the videos on youtube. i reckon ive done a good job of it for my first time, guess il have to wait and see after ive fired her a few times. had her for ages and still havent even cocked her once yet was going to do the 95k but it will wait untill next week lol, going camping tomoro i think. if not then il be going out with the 97 for a zero and chrono session
  21. errrgh get them dirty horrible pcps out of the pics, your spoiling the nice pic ov the hw97!! anyway they dont look too shabby actually, never used one myself. would rather have a hw 100 though personally. as for shooting at night i would say .177 because range estimation is harder so flatter trajectory makes it a bit easier, imo
