Exactly this. Clubs at the top of the Premiership want to keep a fresh squad with plenty of rest periods between matches so a cup run puts an end to that, teams at the bottom usually don't want a cup run because they need everyone in, fit and up for the fight to stay in the league. Look at last year, Wigan won it and went down. This year Sunderland got through to the League Cup final and will only stay up if there's some kind of miracle performed on Wearside and with Sunderland still in the FA cup they have even more matches to contend with... Stay in the Premiership or win a Cup??

Got the dogs out for a good couple of hours in sunny weather and timed it so i'd get back in time for the Liverpool match on tv, got through the door and 5 minutes later it started

I take it you got home okay after being booted about by that lorry driver then? Told me it was Hartlepool, and they had previous of loitering around or underneath vehicle, also that he looked a bit like sloth but also like a rent boy, and asked to be called Tarquin....... a sloth FFS At least you know for future not to go wandering about truck stops with your chipolata on display

My brother's ex turned veggie way before he met her, 'her choice' but she wasn't bothered about anyone eating meat. Didn't find it sickening just didn't want to eat it which is fair enough. She'd even see me bringing rabbits and pheasants etc in and stand and have a good gander and didn't mind touching meat when preparing dinner. No bother at all. On the other hand his new bird, a meat eater, is sickened when I bring stuff home and calls me cruel. Won't touch it, won't go anywhere near it. Even gets the boke when I get some raw delivered for the dogs ...I like the old girlfriend bette

Fell out of love with it after Darlo went bust, people claim the club that reformed (Darlington 1883) is the same club, to me it's a new club and they even play in Bishop Auckland not Darlington when in League 2 and the Conference I was all over the country playing for the supporters team then onto supporting the lads at the match, rattling buckets and buying food shirts etc. All gone for me sadly so football on the tv has taken over!

I like footy, been up and down the country supporting Darlington FC as far as Yeovil and as close as Hartlepool and I like watching it on the tele.. I also like watching cricket and rugby, where does this leave me in the grand scheme of things?
