  1. Just been having a nose about regarding the (LA11) LED LAZERLITE as I fancy an upgrade I have a Tracer Sport Light 140 at the moment. Then I saw this thread and mention of he (PLR-500) LONG RANGER LED PISTOL LIGHT and that looks a bargain at that price I remember many years ago I used to have a deben million candle power job think it had a blue housing that used to be perfect no idea what the equivalent is now a days
  2. If only 6 yards as well I would run it across twice if your expecting a few to funnel through unless your just out for one or two
  3. it is a great sport for sure ferreting. Can't beat it waiting for the rumble and a bolt
  4. indoors and a crate seems to work fine for mine. His very fine coat so easy to keep clean as well. Having a soft home life certainly hasn't dampened his drive thats for sure
  5. Nothing wrong with early I went lamping a while ago the moon was up just had heavy showers and then turned into a drizzle and at half eight there was rabbits way out in the fields and in places you wouldn't normally see then. On paper I shouldn't have seen nothing but we had 3 in the first field and was home just after 9. So you never can tell
  6. Not much going on at the moment just put some cardboard down around me raspberries and popped in a row of onions no great loss if the don't work out but nice to have things in. Just a bit of harvesting. Got the first of the sprouts my youngest loves them so she is happy. Will fry with a bit of bacon tomorrow to go with dinner
  7. I turn into a complete plonker so packed in completely years ago. Save some embarrassment money and rows with the mrs lol. Don't miss it either
  8. easy to live with and I can forget about the dog because it knows what's required. Fingers crossed lol
  9. you can also buy an external battery pack as well
  10. i think i read it lasts a couple of hours doing a video. Very handy little things and tough. Take decent pictures too
  11. bloody lithium are so expensive will have to stick with the old sealed lead acid for a while. They are nice mind weight wise
  12. This lamping lark is a risky business just seems a question of when rather then if. My young dog has had a couple of tumbles all ready. I wish he would ease off the throttle a bit
  13. That's great sport stick a 10 or 15 yard net in your pocket and away to go. I really used to love doing that with the pointer, good part was he would go into the brambles for me. TC I remember you saying about his bald lugs looks like I will be the one with the bald lugs in this partnership
  14. give a avast a whirl
  15. Gave it a try tonight after work. Small clump of dense brambles. I had a 25 yarder on me but just ran out 8 or 9 where I thought a rabbit might sneak across into the wood. Left the dog do his own thing while I set the net. Then walked around the other side and there he was marking the cover. I ploughed in up to me chest try to tramp it down. Only a took a few yards and I saw the net bouncing down below me. There was no quick way of going forward or back so I gave the dog a yell. He was way ahead of me and was on route lol. He pinned it in the net until I got there though that is a generous de

  18. Is he in a crate at night ? Mine voluntarily goes in his crate at 9 if we are not going out and comes out at 6 in the morning. Takes him a while to get going and he looks stiff for a few minutes till he gets all stretched out But yours sounds tender on the wrist
  19. Yea mines the same I know they are rough but she really hammers the young jill and no let up either. So will keep at it gradually over the winter
  20. More than enough ways to die with out walking the mushroom gauntlet. Will be sticking to aldi for them
  21. I bought a new jill in and my old one don't get on she really lays into her and chewing on her quite bad so I had to separate. I swap them around in there hutches every other day now so they can get used to the smell of the other maybe. The castrated hob don't give a monkey and gets on with them both.
  22. sorry to hear of your run of bad luck. It does seem to matter of when rather than if with these dogs even more so at night
