  1. Or you could just be like the other airgunners and only go shooting on nice sunny afternoons when the temp is above 70, chance of rain 0%, and never, ever lay your gun down or take it through any form of foliage, then off home to polish your stock. You won't shoot much, but your gun will look lovely.
  2. Yes, you're just being a fanny. Hope this helps. ?
  3. The youtube comments are funny though. "I feel better now I hacked my ears off."
  4. RIP Barbara. I bet there'll be some faces at the funeral.
  5. I'd eat it. What's the difference?
  6. Why is it called dead naming? The person isn't dead. They're just wearing a frock.
  7. Silly question, but have you tried changing the fuse in the socket?
  8. No words Jimmy. We'll all be thinking of you and the family today. Be strong for her mate. R.I.P Natalie.
  9. We've got one who's a fan of the IR on trail cams.
  10. Jesus. Some things never change. If I got involved in spats with Wilf, Gnasher, SHH, King & Foxdropper on a daily basis, I'd wonder whether the problem was with all those random people or me.
  11. Plus the fact I'm a porch hunter and rarely leave the safety of my back door. ?
  12. I agree. I suppose it depends on how many times you go. If I was taking an average of 3 a night every night it might make a dent in the population eventually, but it's normally a couple of weeks between outings and not always to the same place. When you also consider the ones I don't shoot because of nearby houses, roads, no backstop etc. I probably shoot about 1/3 of the ones i see.
  13. What would you lads consider a decent number of foxes to shoot in a night? Obviously some of you are professional pest controllers so the numbers would be very high, but also I read about a lot of blanks so I was wondering what the average was. I don't record the odd fox I shoot in my field or when I'm after rabbits, but I do record the number when I go out specifically for a night fox shooting. My last 6 nights out have resulted in 1,2,4,2,6, & 2 making an average of 2.8 per night. Most I've ever had is a 9 and an 8 last year, and of course I've had blanks, but not for a fair wh
  14. Yes. V-max. Did plenty of damage but the animal didn't seem to know it at first.
  15. I knew it was going to be a big moon last night, but checking the weather forecast it said it was going to be very cloudy, breezy and dry. It was cloudy but still let quite a bit of moonshine through. It was so still it was almost eerie and raining. Well done BBC for being so shit at forecasting weather. Too late, we were there, so we persevered. There wasn't much around but eventually Jack spotted a vixen through the thermal about 100 yards away. Maybe a little further. He lit it up, I took the shot and it went down, but then got up running in circles, despite the heart/lung s
  16. Sorry for your loss Katchum.
  17. Whippet/pug? Seriously though, nice one Dave. ?

    Boots

I had Altberg Defenders a couple of years back but I found they didn't keep my feet warm I tried Haix - the ones with the mesh at the sides and although they were warmer, they weren't as waterproof. Last pair I got were the Haix cold weather boots which are warm and waterproof and I find the most comfortable of the 3. Mrs w wanted a pair but as she has size 3 feet, it's hard to find any adult boots for her. She actually found a pair of Karrimor SF in her size at the local Army surplus place. They seem more dirt proof than Haix.
  19. If the "firebreak" worked, why do we need another? If it didn't work, what's the point in another?
  20. 22 hornet all day long. I'm sure a certain member will be along shortly to offer advice on why the 458 Socom would be a better choice.
  21. That's our local pubs finished then. We had a very close call in that we were toying with the idea of buying our local pub at the end of last year. I feel really sorry for the family who bought it.
