  1. pushing a dog hard regular on any quarry is the test in my eyes.
  2. great stuff has usal trev. i had my first proper day out bolting to the dog last sunday and what a day it was, most enjoyable.
  3. perhaps the person who wrote the petition could have wrote it out better BUT at least they are trying to do something about the ban which is more than can be said for alot of other lurcher folk.

    No Nets

great day was had thanks vin. it was the first time i had ever gone ferreting without a net as usally i take around 10 nets in my pockets just to help out my lamping dog. after the speech from vin about nets being for whimps i thought what the hell lets see how me and old buster get on. i was all suited and booted and vin pointed me into the direction of a couple of trees which was a good spot for a couple of cheeky little bolts to start the day. i headed to them and didnt get a mark from the dog but i still had to try a ferret in one of the warrens, and yes as usall the dog knows best and
  6. Well my post wasn't opinion it was cold hard facts,I never said "water stops deer" what I'm saying is,when a beast is under pressure getting tired etc it will look for any respite to save itself using the land to it's advantage and anybody that has ever run them in there natural surroundings will tell you the same.As already pointed out it seems to be part of there natural instinct to take to the water when under threat, some don't but a lot of them do. that makes sense now. ive seen fallow stags do it a couple of times as a last resort.
  7. thats why i dont get how you can say streams/shallow rivers will more than likely make them stop and face the dog. a rutting stag is a different story but he dont need to get near any water before hell stand his ground.
  8. are red deer not good swimmers if you say a streams/shallow rivers will most likely make the beast stop and face the dogs. i know that fallow deer are great swimmers and can out swim dogs ive seen herds of fallow deer cross rivers all times of the year with ease with a dog giving chase preban.
  9. it has gone a little crazy. there use to be a local coal yard in our nearest town and one of our neighbours who use to claim for everything and anything fell over in there yard one morning. she come home with just a little graze and small cut on her knee the sort of thing a kid wouldnt think twice about and she claimed £7000 for that.
  10. most of the subjects you can't even find on here properly. So instead of pointing out the obvious why not contribute or say nothing, no disrespect but comments like yours don't do no good for a clean post, I did state no bitching. Don't care who had the best dog etc, was just wondering if there was any stories of dogs to shared. Looking at the comments so far, it looks slim lolHow old are you pal?? That's two posts I av seen when you throw the dummy out. The subject as been done that death and always ends up with lads bitching at each other something that can't be stopped same as pointless top
  11. seasons have alltered alot in the last 20 year mate it aint like it use to be.
  12. at 10 months old if the dogs not over bothered about going into the water then personally i dont think alot will change with it now. some dogs like water others dont.
  13. great stuff lads. looks a nice little bitch that Tomo and she appears to be doing well for you from what ive read on here especially that lamping trip you had not to long ago with rew
  14. i would gladly donate to the air ambulance its the only charity i donate to, plus ive needed it myself.
  15. i agree with roybo the 150 is better at its limits than the 170. i have witnessed the 150 cordless lamp handle a bag of 50 rabbits in a night and still be going strong. ive got a 150 with the cord which i now run off a 10 amp lithium.
  16. i am sure thats been sold.
  17. great stuff trunk. your dogs probably had more single handed than ive seen this season. hows the pup youve got growing?
  18. hancocks breeds them. and they are genuine collie greys of different percentages border or beardie.
  19. bit of bad news for the pup that. on the plus side it is only a pup and it should adapt easy enough and fast enough to only having vision from one eye. as far as weather or not you should keep the pup then thats entirely upto you.
  20. great choice for a lamp mate. ive got a 150 also. Dlloyd of here is the man to speak to
  21. fairplay to ronnie after 8 months off. he had a fluke with the pink in the first frame tonight but barry was well and truely thrashed
  22. not as though i run bitches but is there any particular breed you would or wouldnt like or doesnt it matter as long as they are genuine hard grafters? atb with finding the right candidate.
  23. if trump can keep the form hes got at the moement then i dont see why he shouldnt win. ronnie looked to be finding some form and it would be a good final but he hasnt played alot since the last masters. i dont think bingham has got a chance of winning again the way hes playing. Whoops! Cheers, D. how wrong was i well at least bingham is out and he hasnt got a chance of winning it now. i got some of it right.
