I have a alarm that rings you, or a number of phones, you set it with a key fob and if its triggered you get a call, it also has a siren and the option to listen in to whats happening, there not expensive but very effective, i think if you look under gps/gsm alarms you will find them. something on the lines of this if link workshttp://www.ultrasecuredirect.com/

The acd cross was the best dog ive owned, she was a loyal and obedient servant, with a instinct to protect her family like nothing els ive known, she was always ready for work and only had one major injury in her hunting career (a broken toe) bomb proof was not the word, its a shame these dogs didnt take off as well as they should of, limited gene pool restricted breeding plans and when the ban came in alot of people dropped lurchers like they was hot coal's. here are the ones i hadthe one in the middle is half cross the two dogs either side are her pups to a 5/8 3/8 collie greyhound this

I would make sure its for both jabs and not 15 for one then 15 for the other, ive just got a pup and the lad who bred them just told me this story he rang a vet/company and they said this too him made it sound likes its 15 but it was 30, my local vets charges 21.50 not that bad but good info if its right.

The Downside To A High Drive Youngster ........
2.8 guy replied to socks's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Hi drive or a lack of self presivation is it one of the same thing?, had a dog the same was a real catch dog but had no respect for itself fractured its skull one night never ran the same after. however dogs that pull up short of walls and hadges without even trying to apply any pressure can be worse than a cringeworthy course. Its a fine line hope the dog learns somewere in between. -
Bought a bsa super sport .22 the other day for my daughter, got it at the right price as its got a bent barrel, was just wondering if anyone has straitened a barrel before theres a few vids on you tube but some just dont seem right. i can get it done by my mate who owns a gun shop for 15 quid which isnt far out or was either going to look around for a .177 barrel s/hand and have ago myself at straitening intill i find a different barrel

I started hunting the dales about 15 to 17 years ago and at that time i had a saluki greyhound bull greyhound, local it wouldnt catch a rabbit night after night run after run, I took it withme on a invite up in the dales and caught 21 with him first night, the land was all flat and of a simlar stamp to local Now i hunt on my own permission in the dales and have had the land the last 12 years, the terrain is bad in places but there is some great big flat fields, the rabbits are quicker on the flat and ive seen medioka dogs do very well, been out with the same dogs local and there not wort

Yes i have pictures of nearly every dog that was in my pups pedigree back to springfield myth the collie if i can dig them out lol As you know these dogs was my life at one stage and gena was the one that made it all happen for me, past about as a pup deemed no good gena was the best dog I have ever seen hunt to this day and the tales I could tell. I will dig out a pic I only have one and that was the day she was matted at tony nixons not a very nice stamp of a dog more like a mongrell but looks are nothing in the world of the working dog. I will dig it out and post it mate

The collie greyhound is a great cross if you drop on a good one, I cut my teeth on these dogs and had some crackers and also some not so good, but just alatley ive been talking to a lad I sold a pup too some fifteen years ago. The breeding is mainly david james its exact pedigree is typp out of nixons drum and gena she was of butlers moss and persons bonie they was i think nine or ten genarations of collie to collie cross. I put typp to an irish greyhound which I also have the pedigree for, the exact breeding on paper can be worked out in percentages but this was many moons ago, anyway I a

http://i1166.photobucket.com/albums/q603/wash76/franlookingback.jpg A great rabbit dog 24 inch half cross, I could not begin to say how much enjoyment I had with this dog, I think it will be a long time before I get another like her if I ever do.

A mate of mine had a irish terrier cross from phil king in the 90's was a great little dog i think it was a half cross and was called dillon it lacked pace for a hare as you'd expect for a half cross but dead sensible and a great worker. The young dog ive got now has some of his breeding in but from the later coursing stuff Does he still breed the irish terrier stuff or is it all saluki type dogs

Got it sorted now offered 50 for the hob, 15 for the black eyed white and a tenner a piece for the white gills. Its funny tho as i asked my mate who goes to the sales alot he was saying kits of all colors doing 50 pence a go at selby auction and 75 pence at another maybe clitheroe. He offered to gift me a half polecat kit and told me not to buy em, but im a bird in the hand kind of guy and know the man im getting the ferrets off and if he says there ok they will be On the flip side to this i also heard a local dog dealer was asking £25 a kit. Hopefully these will be the last ferrets i buy
-
LOL he has bad joints and had multipul operations on the same ones, he has some nice permission but I already have way more than I can cope with, I did offer to take him on mine as I can drive to most of my warrens if needed but he still declined saying hes got to stop as he carn't keep getting operated on.
-
Your definatly spot on ferrets are very under valued and as a working companion worth much more than the price they command, I had one once that i wouldnt of parted with at any price. All our ferrets was stolen from my mates farm and altho i got some lined up for my mate he never made the effort to pick them up. the guy with the ferrets will have asked a few people and said make me an offer, I know there all workers so like you say hard to come buy so ill give a good bid. Keep you posted on the outcome
-
I was working on a tenner for the normal ferrets, The hob he wants more cos of the op and recons the black eyed white jill is worth more due to the colour. He is a genuine guy and is only packing in due to ill health but as tight as a nats chuff so the offer will have to be right or he'll sell em to someone els, to be fair im only interested in two jills he has but wont split them. thanks for the replys

A man i know is packing in ferreting he has offered me his ferrets, All the ferrets he has are workers and have had at least one season the majority are 3 years old. he has a silver hob thats been vascectamised at a cost of 50 quid, and a black eyed white jill then a couple of other albinos. Ive never been into the colours of ferrets just as long as they can do there job, what do you recon a fair offer would be on the hob and black eyed white?
