  1. hi to all any one on here running a labrador greyhound or have owned one ive seen a couple myself and spoken to a guy who owned one really rated it i attended a friends farm yesterday and he has the most fantastic lab lean and leggy well bred too got my mind thinking pics and expierences with this x welcome thanks
  2. just seen this post whilst looking at a guys profile never heard nothing like it dog men ive shxt em if you get your dog out work it day and night often enough it will learn two sets of skills my old dog fran worked like a spaniel in the day and never left my side on a night< off a slip ran out ran back wether it had caught or not it takes time my young dog is 2 and just stating to not run everything i lamp off the lead on a night and thats a bull x more work means better dogs but remember you carnt make a silk purse out of a sows ear

  4. nice responce guys good debate this is the last thing im going to mention on the subject of feild trials or the ob comps as this should be about the dogs not me not you or anyone els just the dogs its been a long time since i bred collie xs or did owt to do with trials obedience or other and i dont want it to stray from what i asked your thoughts experience of owning such types it has been a good refresher for me regarding peoples veiws on training and hunting these types i can only comment for myself and its allways going to be one mans meat is another mans poisen we are all different but ple

  6. hey ho if you think people like harry millward who was champ year after year didnt get his dogs out working or many others your wrong there was some people who never worked there dogs granted but i knew who did and didnt . the field trial test was based on every day hunting using nets lures fake rabbit bolts ect blind stays you no things that would be usefull whilst out working with your dog. the best at this was chosen to go on a field trial to work there dogs get this in real life outside in the cold catching things killing things i think this is working your dog people practiced got there

HI again alot mentioned about the owners of collie xs and that bad trainers are to blame for poor dogs in some cases poss yes in mine no i trained mine to a very high standard qualified 3 years in a row for chatsworth obeidence and in one of the years coming second in the advanced obiedence then whent on to judge for the N L R C for a few years after it goes without saying i enter dogs correctly too to hunting its just that some are no good

Are you looking for a ratting bushing ferreting dog that marks and is broken to ferrets and have the time and effort he deserves i have a long haired scruffy looking russell type we got him for the youngest but she has lost interest and now im left to sort him but i am a lurcher fan and althoe he is 100% at what he does he has to go he has never been to ground on fox althoe he has marked one he is of a soft nature and is kennel with my lurcher to be honest he never switches off working and is a bit too much for me he is 1 and a half and we have had him since 6 weeks old so good home only pm me

HI i was thinking of getting one of these you need a special charger so im told my mate ady has 1 says its great i get my old type from my mate who has a electrical wholsellers at 5 pounds they use them in alarms but he says he hasnt found out yet what the lithium ones are for yet, think about it they wouldnt just creat this hi tech bat for us lampers but if you do find out let me know pls

HI to all im looking for a stud dog for 6 months time to mate to my bitch she is a line bred bull x out of some good stuff she is a very fast bitch and has a very good strike and can run and run she is far from perfect howeva i allways come home smiling she definatly has that something im not sure what to mate her too i would like to put a thicker coat into the mix and stronger feet and a willing to please me attitude so im thinking on the lines of a collie greyhound but are open to sugestions lab x or malamut ect my bitch works well on all quary day or night she's broken to ferrets marks 100
  15. hi ive got a black and white long coated lakey cross its longish in the leg and is about 14 months old its not the best looking thing but docked and looks better when cliped its broken to ferrets and marks on sent rats rabbit fox but is rabbit mad so not a fox dog it works cover and will go to ground on rabbits given the chance its not seen a fox yet but if i come across one id let it go its the type not to get a good hiding it lives out or in and is ok with sheep stock ect a good home is the most important thing as this was bought for my daughter but lack of interest and it being a handfull

  18. hi yes 4 track are good value for money 30s on mpg some are poor on body work but reliable mechanics parts available early ones are leaf sprung so are a bit bouncy but less complicated to fix than later indipendent models i use 1 myself and get around off road fine. Buy one infact by mine need estate car cos carnt afford to run 2 cars any more

HI NICK i owned and hunted a cattle dog cross lurcher she was half x to half x sharing the same cattle dog farther to 2 different greyhounds bitches out of dixons line i can only discribe her as the best all round lurcher ive owned and likeley to ever own she has past now but was a legened and in her younger days would of held her own against anything she was no hare dog but day or night on rabbits fox d she was a outstanding hunter, but on a night no need for slips watched the been a proper tool of the trade however i took a litter of pups at six years old to a collie x kept 2 pups back but
