    ITS always nice to bring a pup up make sure they have had the best start, but ive had a few adult dogs and some have not been for me but those that have worked out have been great,People say you carnt buy a good dog,I think some people just dont know what they have, I think the best dog trainers are the ones that can train a adult dog and lets be fair, if no one would take on the challenge they would be alot of unwanted dogs!

    Cheers for the comments, as for me giving advice i would say there have some little quirks but nothing you wont be able to deal with, all i would say is they need to be busy the more work you give them the better bond you'll get they learn well and once they know the game will give there all for you A good book is acd's by narell roberts i own a copy very informative. The best advice i got was off a mate who said they dont show injury very well but if there catch rate goes down look for injury he was spot on. 8 years on tough ground with only one broken toe there a hardy old dog atb 2.8

    I owned one for 12 years, a great dog to own mines was 2nd gen half cross, she was a real great work tool, always ready for action here is one of her pups i bred to a 5/8 3/8 collie greyhound

    YES arron is very very good knows the gun game inside out back to front, always willing to help, and is a very good gun smith However is strait down the line, And if a gun (air rifle) enters over the legal limit for repair it wont come out being illegal ! I have worked alongside them both, and the post was just for the lads on here to say there is discount at a store if you want it

    WERE i go theres a watch scheme, pains some times as they never ask you, they just phone the old bill, as there normally old folk, i had a word with the cops, they said phone them before i go up and make sure they know my car reg so if they get contacted they can set them strait But lets be fair if youve got permission last thing you want is some one taking your game or casing up the place for stuff to rob It doesn't help when people openly brag and seem to gloat about chases ect a proper poacher would never admit to poaching or even being a hunting man especially on a open forum best way is

    We run this dog up on a grouse moor, beddy greyhound airdale whippet, he has great feet and lots of gas in his tank, he is redline airdale and hart break beddy lines, ive noticed in the pics theres alot more white ground and burnt heather in scotland than the moors i run lower down freddie aka the black death

    I have hunted on grouse moors for the past 12 years, if your hunting up in the day id go for something with a good nose, the dog must have impecable feet the heather will knacker a dog with light greyhound type feet, something thats steady and can work out whats going on, as the rabbits sneak about under the heather only breaking cover when really pushed, i would go for a half cross or revers 3/4 maybe lab, collie or if you can get one cattle dog, i had one was great on that terrain best feet ever good luck with your trip atb 2.8
