  1. i would have said the same skinner but the skin wound isnt the bad bit, he has a muscle slit down the middle of the wound, you cant see it from the pics but that is what needs to be open to drain apparently and if the skin is stitched back up over it it could lead to more problems. If i told you the practice and surgery this vet is from then it would make you wonder (top equine practice in ireland). my first thought would be to do as i do with the dogs if they get a rip or tear and that is to stitch it all up. this horse is worth a few quid so im not trusting myself to make the call..... there
  2. happened 5 days ago, my young hunter ran into a stake. vet said he had to leave it open to let it drain, put in a couple of stitches and that was it. he is getting 30 tabs a day in this feed. im contemplating getting another vet to stitch it up and just leave a small opening to drain. it looks bad now but i cant see how it will end up if i leave it like this. will the hair grow back? opinions and advice please people.. pic 1 after it happened, pic 2 four days after.
  3. i have one mate, tikka m595, serious gun, pack a fairly heavy punch!

  5. would you be interested in any hunting dvd's, lurchers by day and similar. Id prefer to give ya a few bob for them tho if you put a price on them.
  6. hows it going liam, i make the odd bar for lads that ask me to, 16mill stainless with a forged hoop on the top and hammered point at other end. unless you do the pig on it altogether bar will last you a lifetime, i never go diggin without mine, i will try put upa pic of one, can make a simple T-bar if ya dont like the handle.
  7. scummy f***er. he is giving tipp a bad name. no doubt he will get some bitches for free and make no mistake that some poor misfortunates are going to buy pups from this dirt bag........ only to be disappointed and sold on again and again..... vicious circle when money is involved unfortunatly. no morals watsoever.
  8. lovely animal, family of them on the river out my back and they are there with donkeys years. mink on the other hand should be hammered at every oppertunity.
  9. dont scorn her too early yet mate, if she was nervy when you picked her up and she is just getting to know you a smack wont do her any favours. let her be for a little while and then disapline her once she has settled in. a nervy pup will only go backwards if its getting punished in unfamiliar surroundings and people.
  10. disaster, hopefully it will be found and returned safe n sound.
  11. nice pup, all the best with him. did you see his parents graft dave?
  12. go back down the pub and tell them boys get off the drugs and just stick to pints.
  13. nice little dog, hope he does the biz for ya,
  14. if it was only known by the ordinary/on the fence person the damage they do to farmers, game keepers, chicken/poultry owners there would be alot more power behind the fact that they need controling.I do alot of fox control and one of the fXXXers got pay back on me and dug into my pen and killed over 40 phesants and bantams in the one go. its a big pen and would of taken him awhile to catch them all but he managed it. if nature and survival made him do it you would say fair enough, kill one or two and bring them away.... but he killed over 40 and took only one away!!
  15. as asked before where in tipp folks? i think i know of the crowd in questuion that use that estate. i had my dogs lifted at christmas, with massive help from a gentleman that is on here aswell we located them and luckily got them back. since then ive spent a small fortune moving the pens into an old stone shed i havein the yard, put heavy grids on the windows, plated steel door, about another 4 locks to get through if they do manage to get into the shed before they get to the dogs, dont think they will tho, i even lined all the underside of the rafters with heavy reinforcing mesh so if they li
  16. Few handy holes around there, might bring the dog. few hairy holes to liam. most of them owl dirty holes fairly well back filled at this stage bull jack!!!! haha shouldn't be too many of em around on a sunday afternoon anyway!!
  17. Few handy holes around there, might bring the dog. leave em at home liam n we'll get pissed instead!!
  18. nice one lads, a handy spin for our club! we will all be there. ya get a good pint in the jockey aswell!!
  19. this is a video i saw on youtube. Its fairly obvious that foxes will be getting bolder and bolder if their numbers rise and we arent allowed control them. typical example of what lies ahead if their numbers go the way the CAMPAIGN AGAINST BLOODSPORTS GET WHAT THEY THINK THEY WANT> this fox knows he cant be touched!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=1vzgnTEMyCg
  20. it was a pleasure being in the mans company, never failed to have everyone in stitches, the numbers at his funeral yesterday said enough about the man, the hounds at the grave yard, the horn blowing ... he got a mighty send off.....
  21. you hit the nail on the head young man, "if done properly" unfortunatly in some cases it hasn't been done properly and this is what has brought the whole thing into disrepute. certain people saw certain things they didnt like, kicked up a fuss and branded us all barbarians. Hopefully our efforts will help portray a different picture, the PROPER picture.
  22. im after meeting with two td's lads and they have been more than helpful, i think once they realise the numbers involved in our clubs and the backing we have and the posibilaty of future votes/lost votes they are taking a good stance on it. One of them rang me today and wants to meet me again next week so i can give him all of our paperwork from farmers, gunclus and locals that have all benifitted from the terrier clubs help. Its litterally a numbers game now lads so keep the letters and calls flying.
