  1. meeting our local TD in an hour lads, he is pro hunt and keeps dogs so fingers crossed we can make some small impact.
  2. unfortunatly we are facing a massive battle in ireland to withold the right to use our terriers underground. Everyone must emphasise the manner in which terrier work/pest conrol using terriers is executed. The rules as every terrierman knows are as follow and for anyone that is less informed than ourselves then these rules should be shown or quoted to. NATIONAL WORKING TERRIER FEDERATION (N.W.T.F.)Founded 1984 THE N.W.T.F. CODE OF CONDUCT FOR TERRIERWORK. Note: The N.W.T.F. Code of Conduct for Terrier Work was the first of its kind, it always has been and continues
  3. likewise danny, hopefully we can make a big impact.
  4. RIP Paul O Brien, who hunted the Kilmogannys for several years sadly passed away this morning. A young man who's spirit will live on in the voice of his hounds. You will be sadly missed Paul, may you rest in peace.
  5. fair play to ye all lads, i told everyone and anyone that i know about the meeting, due to working in the hills of scotland i regretably wasn't present. home this weeekend so i'll get all the info. PM sent to corkman.
  6. ill take your word for it so, you obviously know more about it than i do, i may advertise my dogs and get shut on that note. thanks for the info!!!!!!!
  7. buddy im not by any means up the mans arse, ive never met or spoken to him. Several lads i am friendly with have met him and have dogs off him that are prominant dogs in the lines they keep today. once lads that saw his dogs work say they are good and he has a good line nobody can call them liers because they have experience of a sob story from the line. Personally most of my digging is done over nutall line dogs and i cant fault them and would highly recommended them. If the line was no good why is his dogs names still at the top of the progeny tree in a vast amount of lines that are popular

  11. there is a solonoid that controls the gear changes, they can get lazy from corrosion and shite building up around them, follow the wires from the selector and you will find it, soak it in wd 40 and it will free up a bit. common fault i know of on them. usually worst when trying to get reverse.
  12. is the 4 wheel drive engaging? might only be a problem with the bulb or drive sensor that brings the light on.
  13. pure shit talk. When we hear any of your names mentioned as much in a line of terrier as nuttals is then come back and we can compare like with like. Very easy to throw stones from behind a wall. very true statement, "EMPTY VESSLES MAKE THE MOST NOISE"........ think it could be suitable for lads who are unknown to knock other mens WELL KNOWN lines.
  14. lads i have not been on line for a while but this is newsto me, is there any other form of media we can use to rally troops together for cork? i know none of my mates knew about it till i told them. Would a call to joe duffy do us any favours?
  15. split litters are common enough, people often dont realise it tho. I currently have a beagle bitch that has been covered by two different beagle dogs, the first one is an old relyable stud, second one is a younger bigger dog from a different line. I have bred the first dog to this bitch several times and know the result is good, but to gain a bit more size i used the bigger dog, if the pups from the bigger dog turn out no good chances are i will have some from the old reliable dog and the whole thing wasn't a waste of time, some good pups will come from the litter. Its all well and good in the
  16. fingers crossed for you bud, atb.
  17. Booth dogs pulling the plug???? Better lock your kennels well boys, sounds like booth will be putting an order in for a fresh batch of "stolen dogs" the filthy thieving tramp. Any of you buying dogs off booth should be tarred with the same brush. never met the man and know very little about him. there are plenty of dogs about SUPPOSED to be booth bred, i saw two of this line work and both failed miserably when push came to shove.Neither of these dogs were mine. smicker if you are refering to me as buying dogs from booth im afraid your mistaken. I know what works for me so i have no need to g
  18. Lads be realistic here, all i keep is handy dogs and they struggle in alot of places, a vixen can squeeze into holes that you would say a ferrit is all that could get upto her. Irrelivant of the dogs drive if its a big dog you definatly will not get all your foxes. small dogs would be a thing of the past if big dogs could work every fox.... go look at a few holes vixens bring out cubs in, i'll put up pics tomorrow of two holes i know there are cubs in and you can tell me if any dog will fit in be it big or small. I know none of my small fox dogs wouldn't get past the mouth of them. (but maybe
  19. new nuttall has very little nuttal!! ive seen a couple of booth dogs pull the pin lately, having said that they are the only two booth dogs i have seen.
  20. your blessed mate, you def need to up the security, two of mine went at christmas and luckily with alot of hardship i got them back but they are in a setup like fort knox now. if the other two in your village wern't returned its not a good sign. might be letting the bitch rear the pups and try again for a bigger hit next time.... not trying to worry you but these scum have no conscience and will stoop to any level. Fingers crossed thats an end to it for ya, best of luck with your pups.
  21. nice pups borderscot. your nutall dog is identicle to a bitch i have here, nutall line aswell. great skull on him.
  22. Not giving you a short answer but It would make your life alot easier to buy a pup in. i totally disagree tayto, to find a pup off parents that work the way you like aint so easy. most selling pups will tell you the parents are world beaters but unless you know the parents you are buying a pig in a bag. the man has a bitch that works the way he wants and obviously wants another similar to her so his best option is to breed from her and a similar dog that works the same game and hope she throws somthing similar to herself. or buy a ready made working dog that works rabbits and they should be
  23. wouldn't be well knows dogs. unless you know the men you wont know the dogs.originally bred off miner and line bred from there, worker to worker.
