Digging For Trouble With Pics
fox digger replied to fox digger's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
is that adig at me richlee? if it is i dont have any pictures on the net that can incriminate me in any way shape or form, -
Where is the URL on a photo please? The URL is linked to any photo on this site. If you click any of the images, even attached to the forum, it has it's own URL that can be run through an EXIF analyzer. They reveal a staggering amount of information about the camera/phone used. Even what model of phone/camera. I've yet to see any that reveal a location of where the pictures were taken though... Unless someone has the info. It would be good to know. Security and all that. chris i went onto the terrier work section, went into a topic called we love digging. i got the url off th

Digging For Trouble With Pics
fox digger replied to fox digger's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
a smart phone i think, im not too upto date on technology so i dont know. i tried it on a picture posted in the terrier section and the results told me that it was an iphone 4s that took the pic, and also that the flash was off on it!!! -
he was up in a stop end and sitting tight at the end of a long tube with only one hole, it would have to have got passed the bitch to bolt. good stuff getting your two monday, the weather is starting to put them in now!

lads i was commenting on another topic on here when a member posted some crazy info that i for one didnt realise how serious it could be for us. check out page 2 and 3 of the rspca topic in the lurcher discussion section. i tryed out what he said and simple clicked on a pic in this section of lads at a dig, pasted the url into a web page called jefferys exif and the exact time location and an ariel pic of where the pic was taken all popped up on the screen..... try it youselves and see. it could be very dangerous putting up any pics of anything if it can be traced that easy by any joe
-
paulus would it be worth pinning foxhounds info? realistically it is crazy and lads should know this info if they are putting pics on here. it can be proven by this jefferys exif crack what was in the hole you dug and weather or not it was originally used by badgers and classed as a "badger sett"...... very simple for somone to go check out the hole after a pic was put up of a dig and check it for "evidence".......
-
lads please take note, even if you are perfectly within your right to be digging or hunting where ye are and pics are taken of somthing harmless then you are still publishing where ye hunt and giving away the location of your earths!!! even seling somthing realistically and putting up a pic of it, be it a bicycle, car dog or donkey you are actually putting up a pinpoint location of where the item is located..... f**k that, there is nutting safe anymore. putting up pics of you dogs in your kennels now will tell the whole world what you have and where they are located even with an ariel pic
-
oh shit!! i just tryed out what you were saying, i went into a topic on here in the terrier section, "we love digging" copied the image url and pasted in the jefferys thing........ WELL FUK ME PINK.... date, time, co-ordinates and an ariel view of the field with an arrow pointing to the exact location of the hole where the photo was taken......... that is me done with ever letting a picture be taken when we are hunting again. that is crazy shit. foxhound put up a topic about this will you please and warn everyone how lethal this is and any old joe can see where the pic was taken. the

pups looking well mik,

too true stabba. and in reply to trenchfoot im not having a go or knock what your saying but trying to show you a different way of looking at it.... we have bodies to govern and support, publisise and campaigne for our field sports. IMFA, IFA, NARGC, COUNTRY SIDE ALLIANCE, IWTF, NWTF, FWTC to name but a few. I think it would be better for them to promote our auctions rather than silly pics on the WORLD WIDE WEB.... how can any council or body fight for rights and try justify our way of doing things correctly when so many of OUR OWN do it so much harm by putting up inappropriate pictures.

facebook is a social networking site, unfortunatly hunting isnt seen to be a social or appropriate activity by the vast majority of the present generation that spend most of there time on facebook. Therefore it is not the right place to be publicising pics with silly content that shows "hunters" to be incapable of abiding by the law. posing with dogs and hares is pointing a loaded gun at all us "hunters". There were some arrests and dog confiscations in the midlands very lately due to the fact that young lads put pics up of there dogs with deer on facebook and bragged that they are getting ma

alright wilf, you would get the odd hound to be a rogue and a terrier killer, one particular pack near me are a disaster, i dug for them on one occasion only and was warned to watch my terriers around them. sure enough if you wernt careful especially round a hole they would swipe em. another pack i used exercise every morn with the huntsman wer 99% safe but early in the season you could see the curious ones looking everytime we passed a house with a dog. special attention was put into curing the offenders and they would run away from another dog if one went near them after a few morning

cheers for that child21, i will pm him and see what he thinks. sounds like what im after, thanks for that,
-
cheers hard core, a wheaten cross dog is ideally what im after but beggers cant be choosers and im open minded on the dog to a certain extent!! A proven line is the way to go and im sure if your lad has it bred into him from that far back of proven stuff and he is spot on the way you want him now then i think you are on a winner, atb bud thanks.
-
yea its understandable early in the season getting numbers with cubs, ive had 3 lurchers that have all took fox no hassle, but they wernt proper fox dogs!! i have a bitch at the minute that would make u crack up looking at her behind a fox and picture perfect behind him on every turn but will never commit and strike, useless!! impressive bitch when you are out with terriers...........100% that way, very speedy by day on fast game, so i wont part with her because she does everything else the finest and gets me alot of nights lamping. the 3 before her were all only average fox dogs and get the o
-
How ya trunk, yea it's not simple to get summon decent, everybody has them and they are "smashing" several foxes a night every night they are out... Where are these dogs when your looking for one!! Im not lookin for a world beater but when the bitch is very good it would be pointless to cover her with a dog of less capability than herself, and there are plenty around me and hunt with us but they are not what I'm after!! I think all the famous consistent fox dogs are fewer on the ground than what is made out to be!! It's easy to say mine is doing it all single handed but I'm not swamped with re

lads in after a dog 26inches plus, little to no bull blood as there is already some in the bitch, wheaten or deerhound cross that is a consistant dog on charlie. the bitch is pushing on in years and im only getting a loan of her to breed a litter from her, she is retired and has seen hundreads in her day aswell as other game. she is 3/4 hound 1/4 bull but you wouldnt see the bull in her, nearly 26 inches and fast enough for daytime running longears. All the fox dogs that i know of are very bully crosses and thats not what im after. A more traditional type dog that is well proven. pups will be
