id be interested mate, will you post? if you will we can maybe work out somthing, pm me if you will post, can never have too many crops. cheers.

agree with latest threads, just waisted time reading what has all the tell tales signs or a cock n bull story......... def be some sort of facts and names published at this stage if all was as it was supposed to be. common thief imo. no matter how bad a mans yard is its not anybodys place to take his dog or worse again pick the ones that take his fancy..... do it the right way and have authorities take em if you feel the animals welfare is at risk.

the usual old story where a select few dont keep dogs for sport, (as they were intended but keep them for greed) when greed enters sport it always sours the whole thing. same can be said for a lurcher man that sells the odd rabit and then discovers he can actually make a handy living out of it and greed takes over and he ends up wiping out an area because he forgot that they actually can be wiped and dont just magically re-appear. big difference between sportsmen and money men. some will pull any stroke in the book to get an edge over others, thats why alot of old genuine greyhound lads i know

the deerhound greyhound crosses ive seen run them are handy enough, not spectacular on tight turns but plenty fast and stay pretty well, one whippet grey back to a deerhound greyhound bitch ive seen on them is a demon, vety impressive.
-
should be a useful litter, all the best with them, she's an unusual looking bitch, i haven't seen too many similar, looks handy all the same. atb.

roughly a week commin in, a week in and a week goin out, that the way i work it out anyway, leave the dog with her on her week in and nature should take its course, even a first time young dog will plug her if left to their own devices.
-
id go deer grey first cross or else 3/4 grey 1/4 deerhound if you can find a good working one, im sure trevor of cooklands deerhounds would have somthing suitable. i have great success with this cross, good genuine grafters and all rounders. good feet, more than likely broken coat specially with your bitch being a first cross, decent size and placid out, well worth a thought imho. let us know what you decide,

this chap is a new commer to the site and he asks a genuine question about a sport he is big into. how i know this is because he happens to be my nephew and is only new to ferriting. on his very first post on this site you try make a c**T out of him. seems to be a pretty common trait of yours to be an arrogant twat. and then you go on to insult the irish..... idiot. if you have notthing constructive to say or offer to new young members except sarcasm then you should be fu**ed off the site and become an internet hunter on some other site. the IRISH do have two distinct breeds of ferrit. poleca

Sometimes that is easier said than done! I'm on the lookout for a decent pup and if I'm honest I'd 'like' it to come from working stock but so long as the dog is a cross of whatever makes up a lurcher (my preference would be any combo of D'hound/Collie/Beddie/Kelpie/G'hound/Whippet but with all due respect to the lads that run them, preferably very little if any, Bull or Saluki) then I'll take my chance and put the hours in with whatever pup I get, working stock or not. However... there in lies the problem, there are pups that do appear for sale on here and as I don't personally kn

a beddy whippet would be my choice, bring down the size and up the grit. atb.
-
i know there will be lads that will strongly disagee with me but id class that cross as a bit soft for fox, id put deerhound, beddy or wheaton in there someplace. atb.
-
im with rocky on this one and can only offer my opinion from pre ban experience. most crosses will have a go at all that you mention, to give the dog an advantage a bit of height and strength will be a big help for your bigger quarry, yet you need it handy enough to do consistant rabbit. a 3/4 grey 1/4 wheaton ive seen do it all very well, likewise a 3/4 beddy hound. a deerhound greyhound back to a bedlington greyhound was a demon at all quarry and has good height and strength. 3/4hound 1/4 bull was ok at the latter two you mention but not great at rabbit and hare. just a few crosses ive worke

a lad was telling me that running a young immature pup on rabbits can ruin them. i thought to myself shur i know the reasons why and dont run any dog on purpose untill after 9 months and its only a very small bit even then. but he went on to say that a dog not fully developed that runs after a rabbit can often bark out of frustration because it cant catch it and can often carry this trait into adult hood and bark when coursing rabbit........ first time ive ever heard of this and not the obvious damage that can be done!.... does it stand up or is it in his head?? i did have a bull hound that a

Twice a day is fine, it was the way you said I walk mine twice a day and they STILL chew, surely this should be the minimum? Anyhow, not trying to slag you or get into an argument, each to their own twice a day is the minimum a dog should be walked....... id give my right arm to have enough time to be able to walk my dogs twice a day, i think this is a bit unrealistic with the hours and times people are now working to try keep the bills paid. i dont know to many that can walk the dogs twice a day!! nice thought tho. id love to have your time baw!!

is that a dig at me tom?? each to their own and if you have a way of doin summit then more power to ya. we have alwalys controlled them and will continue to do so. atb. Nope wind your neck in foxdigger. Its a dig aimed at the clowns who use this forum to fantasise and tell fibs about their alleged killing sprees, rather than genuine hunters explaining why they do what they do. Chiiiill Winston.

moll your cat is a pet, as a pet you feed him/her, hence it doesn't have to need to kill to stay alive, if you stopped feeding it and it turned ferral then you would notice a dramatic increase in its seasonal bird numbers. nobody on here does kill or intend to kill peoples pets(I HOPE) BUT ferral cats are vermin and should be controlled the same as fox, rat magpie ect. an uncontrolled cat population are lethal to an area as the have such good hunting technicques. plus they have no natural predators as such so they are top of the food chain. a strong dog fox may chance his arm and ive watched o

easist thing in the world to break a dog to a cat, its just some lads chose not to for there own reasons. I admit if you want to walk a dog off a lead near roads it cant chase cats.tools! thats a bit richious that. True mate but kids round my way do it for a laugh and I think its wrong at the end ov the day. If people put enough game infront ov there dogs and caught plenty they. Wudnt hav to slip there dogs on a cat. To make them feel hard get a life I say. Put it in the feild where it counts fair does if your dog get one and kills it carnt be helpd sumtimes Dont bow down to h
