PATTERDALE STUD ANYONE ??????????
fox digger replied to captain2010's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
pm me your area, alot of old nuttall stuff down my way, i dont own any black dogs, only black bitches. could arrange a service for you if your bitch is decent. -
personally i wouldn't keep a hard terrier, mainly for security reasons, if for some reason a law man or animal cruelty man walks in to my yard and comes accross a broken up tarrier im a suspect straight away and could possibly loose all my dogs and wont be allowed keep as much as a gerbil.Guilty untill proven innocent. secondly i want my foxes alive to run again, no point digging to a dead fox with hounds looking over your shoulder, we want them to run once dug or bolted. all my working terriers are well tattoo'd but nobody could accuse me of animal cruelty or "b baiting". Either w

interesting question lads, what is the story with getting straws from a dog. Personally i would like to get hold of some and keep it frozen for the future just in case anything unforeseen happens to some of my dogs.
-
One of my best dogs never shuts up either tied at a hole, in transport box in the van, in the kennels, constantly yapping!Drive ya mad, any of the other dogs do it and they are scorned immediatly but the old dog always done it and couldn't be stopped! He is prob the best tarrier i have ever owned or will own! funnily his offspring are noisy aswell. I put up wit it tho, i know all he wants is to be down a hole.

I know lads that use bimectin. i use noromectin, very similar stuff, ive been using it for years. 1mill per 10kg bodyweight. terriers usuall 1-1.5mill applied to the skin on the back of their neck with a syringe, just lift the hair and squirt it on. i use it on beagles lurchers and terriers, brillient stuff, kills all living organisms on or in the dog, all types of worms(lung worm, round worm, tape worm, ring worm ect) fleas, ticks, mites and mange. its by far the cheapest way to dose dogs when you have a lot of them. a mangy dog will be shining two weeks after a dose of it. when you feed fles

best of luck mate!

what does the system consist of? how many camera's and what type of recorder ect, cheers.

if two entrances chances are its a loop under the road and he will try bolt, you can never tell for sure tho. Job for a hard dog i think, what ya recon lads, go for it or too dodgy walk away?

FFS this beast would be lickin his lips at the site of a handy terrier comming at him id imagine, it would be breakfast for him! Did he give more stick than the average fox out of curiosity? I ever only dug one abnormally big fox and he gave the dog a fair hard time.but he wasn't even close to your lad TT. That dig was fair handy by the looks of it!!
-
keep trying i suppose pal, ah your connected to lads in the heart of the diggin, some great dogs and dog men in cork and limerick! you should have no bother getting yourself sorted.
-
dont know whats left to be honest, i rang shortly after the add went up, that red bitch caught my eye straight away! im sure there are some left as very few are spending money buying dogs now due to the lack of work in ireland. Im accrss the water with ye at the minute working trying to get a few bob, so that will give you an idea of the way it is at home!!
-
as said before chances your buying sombody elses problem,9 out of 10 times anyone. Any working dog has a reason there owner is selling them, could be lucky and meet a are genuine fella with a genuine reason........ but most genuine fella's with genuine dogs have a genuine FRIEND that will take the genuine dog ever before the public hear its for sale. Dogs for sale Might be described as "ready made", IMHO they are "already made a mess of" Just my two cents, ATB,

thats the reason i rang that chap, i was enquiring about that red pup!! funily enough i know the sire of that pup aswell, same friend owned that sire of the red bitch aswell, he is no longer with us tho, RIP,she is out of the same bitch as this litter. cracking looking, money bit steep tho! If you do decide to come over let me know and i'll organise a bit of sport for ya. ATB,

Know where your comming from simon, impossible to buy from a pic, (although i have done it a few times once i know the breeding) they are genuinely nice tidy grafters from nutall line, knew the dam and sire of the sire, i have a bitch here bred down from the same line, she will be going to the sire of these pups if she works out, Fingers crossed. Dont let distance stop ya if you like them, i never did! Best of luck either way mate.

most of the trackers work on gps, obviously there will be no satalite signal once the dog has entered an earth so i think the long range trackers are out for terrier work, that is if there is not some device i haven't heard of yet. The bellman and flint collor is the longest range i know of for terriers at 60 or so meters, think the barryvox does a couple of meters more but not much in the difference. If you do find somthing let us all know tho!! ATB,

I know its in ireland mate but there is a litter bred fairly close to me for sale on donedeal.ie and might be worth the courier fee. I dont know the chap that has them but have spoken to him on the phone, I know the sire as a good friend ownes him and gave the service, this dog is spot on and and genuine nuttal stuff and not the usual "one of the great great great grand parents had a touch of nuttal"!Off top working stuff, old dog now but still in use. bitch is handy im told, Pups should be very useful. Hope this might be some use to you simon. ATB. http://www.donedeal.co.uk/for-sale/dogs/2870

Like jonny 85 i have got back one of my bitches. the one that i wanted back, i think i will just have to put up with loosing the pup but over the moon i got the bitch back. Cheers to everyone here who offered help and were on the lookout, its a big comfort knowing all yer eyes wer on the scout for us both. As with jonny all the local lads know the score and where they went, mine two have been moved from my yard untill i put up a more secure setup, terrible to think we have to fork out a fortune on new pens when work and money is so scarce at the minute. A big thank you again and jonny i'll be
